[Politics] Operation Jormungandr Announced
On August 1, the nation bore witness to a military parade on Vainqueur Street in Heimdallr. The event which lasted approximately an hour, was a powerful display featuring dozens of Imperial Army tanks and numerous Panzer Soldats, as well as aerial stunts by the Air Force. Despite being organized on short notice, the magnificent parade amazed onlookers with its pomp and splendor.
The parade ended at Dreichels Plaza. There, Chancellor Osborne and Governor General Rufus were joined by Supreme Commander Vandyck, whose presence bolstered an already imposing group of political powerhouses. The three delivered an announcement that would trump even the furor surrounding the National Mobilization Law reaveled just three weeks earlier.

Operation Jormungandr--a bold military operation on an unprecendent scale--is to be launched against Calvard. While the details remain confidential, Supreme Commander Vandyck assured all assembled that this all-out operation would quell the political unrest sweeping the continent within a year. A brand-new Gargantua-class airship then made its debut to thunderous applause. When pressed for a comment, an officer at the scene answered: 'As soldiers, we will respond to the call of duty, whatever form that might take.'

[Military Affairs] Conscription Offices Open Nationwide
The effects of the National Mobilization Law are already evident as conscription offices open out west in Ordis and Grenville. Meanwhile, military storehouses have been erected in Legram and Celdic to the east in preparation for the war. Smaller branches will also open along major railway stops.

◆Draft Cards En Route◆
Draft cards are being sent out to adult men who meet government-set requirements for military service. Included are the location of the recipient's assigned unit and a report date for the indicated conscription office. The Imperial Chronicle and Crossbell News Service will be working in collaboration as the Empire readies for war.
The arrangement will last until conflict ceases.

８月１日、帝都ヘイムダルのヴァンクール大通りにて１時間
に及ぶ軍事パレードが開催された。帝国正規軍の主力戦車アハ
ツェンが何十台も通り過ぎ、数々の機甲兵が威風堂々と行進。
上空には軍用飛行艇が展開し、準備期間の短さからは想像でき
ない大規模な催しとなった。

その後、パレードの終点であるドライケルス広場には、オズ
ボーン宰相やルーファス総督、正規軍総司令のヴァンダイク元
帥他、３週間前の『国家総動員法』発表時を上回る、錚々(そうそう)たる
顔ぶれが揃った。
そこで発表されたのは、カルバード共和国への史上最大規模
となる征討作戦──《大地の竜》作戦だ。詳細内容は明かされ
なかったものの、「帝国軍の総力と最善の戦略で、年内までに
は全ての決着をつける」と、厳粛な面持ちで告げた元帥。新造
された《ガルガンチュア級飛行戦艦》もお披露目され、観衆は
熱を帯びて驚喜した。式に出席していた女性士官たちに話を聞
いてみると「いち帝国軍人として責務を果たしたい」と冷静に
コメント。

【軍事】各地に徴兵事務所・物資保管所が開設
総動員法の成立後、各地で開戦に向けた準備が着々と進めら
れている。現時点の主な地域を挙げると、西部では海都オルデ
ィスとグレンヴィルに徴兵事務所が、東部ではレグラムとケル
ディックに物資保管所が開設。その他、鉄道沿線の主要駅を中
心に各施設ができている。

◆召集令状の送付、相次ぐ◆
対象の成人男性に向け、召集令状が順次送付されている。令
状には配属先や出頭日時が記載され、指定された徴兵事務所へ
赴く流れだ。「平民と貴族の境なく、帝国人の誇りと武を尊ぶ

開戦までの期間及び戦時中に際し、クロスベル通信社(ＣＮＳ)と報道
