[Technology] Simulated Flight Frame Recovered, Official Launch Day Determined

This afternoon, the simulated flight frame—commonly known as a dummy unit—that launched during Project Startaker's second phase was retrieved from the oceans south of the Republic. With this, the Aerospace Force declared the final test before the manned spaceflight a success. In addition, they announced that the final phase of Project Startaker, the official launch, will commence on July 12.
The recovered simulated flight frame came equipped with a dummy cockpit block and various measuring apparatuses. During this experiment, the flight frame remained in outer space for twenty-four hours, but the temperature, atmospheric pressure, oxygen concentration, and radiation levels inside the cockpit were within acceptable limits for the duration of the test—confirming that humans can survive inside it for extended periods of time. It's expected that a unit with the same type of life support equipment will be used for the launch on the 12th.
This experiment also proved that a manned spacecraft can safely return to Zemuria. While re-entering the atmosphere, the intense wind pressure on the spacecraft creates 'adiabatic compression,' which produces thermal energy and thereby raises the temperatures to white-hot levels. Despite this, the simulated flight frame was able to withstand the heat with the fairing that was reused from the launch as a protective shield during its descent. The shock and g-forces were kept to manageable levels when it re-entered the atmosphere and landed on the ocean's surface. If the official launch unit were to use a similar system, the passenger would be able to return to the surface without issue.
With the tests going off without a hitch, the first manned spaceflight in history is set to take to the skies and beyond on July 12. We can only pray to the Goddess that Major Emilia is successful during this feat of the century, and that she will make it back home safe and sound, as the simulated flight frame did.
