[Breaking News] Major Areas Liberated, Including Crossbell City
Thanks to the combined efforts of the Crossbell Guardian Force, police, Bracer Guild, and other volunteers assembled from various areas, Crossbell City has been reclaimed from the United Nation government as of press time this afternoon. The operation kicked off yesterday as the group neutralized Ebon Defense Force strongholds located in Mainz, Mishelam, and the Crossbell Police Academy prison. With the capital city now retaken as well, vital locations in all areas of the region are officially liberated, bringing the new government's week-long illegal takeover to and end.

[Breaking News] Massive Tower Appears in Lake Elm
Not long after the liberation mission was deemed a success, an enormous, towering structure suddenly appeared in the center of Lake Elm. Stretching more than an estimated 500 arge high, its size is more than double that of Orchis Tower.

◆Juno Naval Fortress Annihilated◆
Immediately after the mysterious tower's surprise appearance, it shot a massive beam of light into the sky targeting Juno Naval Fortress. Located in the Erebonian Empire's Lamare Province, the base was bathed in a shower of light before vaporizing in short order, leaving not even the slightest trace of what once stood just moments prior. Luckily, despite the immense damage, recent Imperial drawdown and related military reshuffling efforts meant that no units were stationed at the fortress at the time of the blast, averting what could have been a calamitous loss of life.

◆The Supreme Leader's Proclamation◆
Just moments after the fortress' dramatic demise, Supreme Leader Rufus Albarea took to the airwaves in a broadcasr transmitted across Zemuria to reveal that the tower, known officially as the Retributive Tower, was constructed by his government in secret. Should the other nations of the continent refuse to participate in his United Nation initiative, he warned, he wouldn't hesitate to deploy it on another target.

[International] Major Nations in State of Alert
Following the surpreme leader's declaration, nations throughout Zemuria entered into a state of emergency as they scrambled military forces and began to evacuate citizerns in select areas. Reporters located across the contintent tell the Crossbell Times that countries have geared up for war once again under circumstances not unlike those seen six months ago.
All eyes are on the Republic of Calvard's response to the ongoing situation in particular. With the tower's next potential target set to fall within its territory, the Republic has rapidly deployed its main forces along its border with Crossbell, prepared to lay siege at a moment's notice. 'When the safety of our people is under threat,' newly inaugurated president Roy Gramheart stated, 'it is this government's duty to not only neutralize that threat, but also ensure that the aggressor pays an appropriate price for their actions in return.' When prompted for their analysis, one government source took these words to signal Calvard's intention to stage an armed intervention in Crossbell.

[Breaking News] Crossbell to Conduct Infiltration Operation
Just moments ago, right as this issue was about to go to print, the Crossbell Times received word that Crossbell's provisional legislature, with the agreement of the Imperial and Republican governments, has authorized an infiltration operation into the Retributive Tower. We'll report back with more information as this story develops.

【緊急速報】エルム湖上、巨塔現る　
　解放作戦が成されて間もなく、エルム湖の中心に突如として 　巨大な塔のような構造物が出現。高さは推定５００アージュ以上で、オルキスタワーの倍を超える大きさだ。　

◆ジュノー海上要塞、消滅◆
　謎の巨塔は出現と同時に空に向かって大きな光の柱を発射。直後には帝国ラマール州に位置するジュノー海上要塞が天空から降り注ぐ光の柱に覆われ、まるで蒸発したように跡形もなく消滅した。　幸いな事に帝国軍の軍縮、再編成の関係で、要塞に駐屯する部隊はおらず、要塞の消滅に巻き込まれた者はいないという。

◆最終兵器？　新総統の大陸統一宣言◆　
　ジュノー海上要塞の消滅後すぐ、ルーファス新総統による声明が各地に届けられた。その内容から、謎の巨塔は統一国政府が密かに建造した最終兵器《逆しまのバベル》であることが判明。各国が統一国への参加を拒否した場合、かの兵器の未曾有の力が再び行使されることが仄めかされた。

《逆しまのバベル》の出現とルーファス新総統による宣言を受け、各国が次々と緊急態勢に入った。軍隊の集結や一部地域の住民の避難など「まるで半年前のように臨戦状態になった」 　と各地の報道関係者が語る。　その中でも、特にカルバード共和国の反応が注目を集めた。バベルの次なる標的に名指しされた共和国は、国境線上に主要な戦力を迅速に展開、短時間でクロスベルを包囲できる戦線を形成した模様。新大統領のロイ・グラムハートは「我が国の国民の安全が脅かされた時には、必ずその脅威を取り除き、相応の代価を支払ってもらう」と発言。これはクロスベルへの武力による強制介入を示唆していると政府関係者は分析している。
