해가 지고 황혼이 다가올 즈음, 격렬한 총성이 울려 크로스벨 타임즈 기자도 이상함을 느꼈다. 의문의 무장 집단이 거리를 습격했다── 시내엔 불길이 치솟고 당 통신사도 한때는 점거되고 말았다.
본 특보에서는 공포의 하룻밤이 지나고 밝혀진 상처를 극명히 전달하겠다.
크로스벨의 상징적 존재였던 중앙 광장의 대종은 무장 집단에 의해 강탈된 듯하다. 대체 왜 무엇을 위해서…？
◆비극이 된 아르크 앙 시엘◆
리뉴얼 후의 첫 공연 무대에 무장 집단이 난입해 기관총을 난사해 다수의 중경상자를 냈다. 또한 무장 집단이 샹들리에를 절단해 떨어뜨려 이 밑에 깔린 일리야 플라티에가 위독한 상태이다. 우르술라 병원에서 긴급 수술을 하고 있으나 속보는 아직 없다.
현재 극단 아르크 앙 시엘은 출입 금지이다.
◆구시가지를 유린한 거대한 “귀신”◆
구시가지에 거대한 “귀신” 같은 괴물이 나타나 거리를 파괴. 말려든 시민이 중경상을 입었다. 무장 집단과 관련이 있을 것으로 보이는 이 “귀신”의 무시무시한 울음소리는 중앙 광장과 역 앞 거리에까지도 울렸다고 한다.
◆１F이 폭파된 경찰 본부◆
무장 집단은 또한 경찰 본부를 습격, 강화 셔터를 부수고 １F 입구 부분을 폭파했다. 경찰 기능 마비를 노린 듯하며 실제로 시 전역은 무장 집단에 유린당했다. 가는 곳마다 총격전, 방화 등이 일어나고 항만 구역도 무역회사 빌딩이 폭파되었다.
◆ＩＢＣ 빌딩, 폭파로 완전 파괴◆
최첨단 근대 빌딩으로 유명한 ＩＢＣ 본부 빌딩은 완전히 폭파되어 거대한 건물 잔해로 변하고 말았다. 대륙 경제의 실질적인 중심지로도 유명한 이 빌딩인 만큼 크로스벨 시민과 주변 각국들이 크게 동요하고 있다.
◆오르키스 타워, 습격은 받았으나 방위에 성공◆
전투 흔적이 생생한 현장
무장 집단의 타깃으로 생각되는 크로스벨 행정의 중심부 오르키스 타워에는 집단의 대부분이 집결하여 시내 이상으로 격렬한 총격전이 전개되었다. 그러나 우연히 그곳에 있던 A급 유격사 아리오스 매클레인 씨가 경찰대와 협력해 ５시간의 격투 끝에 방위에 성공. 타워 앞 광장은 현재 출입금지지만 곧 행정기능은 복구된다 한다.
◆크로스벨 자치주 및 주변 국가 분들께◆
하룻밤이 지나자 무장 집단은 어디론가 모습을 감추었다. 그러나 크로스벨이 입은 상처는 크다. 목적도 없이 파괴행위를 펼친 무장 집단 그리고 이 불합리한 일에 큰 분노를 느끼지 않을 수 없다.
이 자리를 빌려 희생된 경비대와 경찰 관계자분들의 명복을 빈다. 또한 피해를 입은 분들과 관계자분들께 깊은 조의를 표한다.
사태 수습에 힘쓴 모든 분께는 감사를 표한다. 비록 힘으로 당해낼 수 없어도 화염에 휩싸인 거리에서 필사적으로 피난 유도를 한 사람들이 있다. 그때 용기를 내어 행동한 분께 최대의 찬사를 보낸다.
지금 크로스벨은 상처 입고 망연자실한 상태. 그러나 우리는 반드시 다시 일어날 것이라 믿는다. 자치주에 사는 분들도 주변 국가 분들도 부디 이 땅에 평화가 오길 기도해주길 바란다.

Crossbell Times - Issue 7
[Breaking News] Crossbell City Raided!
Just as night fell, we here at the CNS heard something surprising: the sound of gunfire. Crossbell City was being raided by jaegers. Fires raged, and we were held captive.
Now that dawn has come, we will do our best to retell all that transpired and shed light on the many wounds our great city has suffered.
The large bell that stood in Central Square, a symbol of Crossbell itself, was stolen by the raiders. Their motives for doing so are currently unknown.
◆Tragedy Strikes Arc en Ciel◆
The raiders stormed the theater during the group's first showing of its encore performance and let loose haphazard machine gunfire. Many were injured. Amidst the turmoil, the grand chandelier was cut down and pinned 일리야 플라티에 beneath it. Her wounds were critical, and she was rushed to St. Ursula Medical College to receive emergency surgery. Until new information becomes available, her current status is unknown.
The Arc en Ciel theater is now off-limits to the public.
◆Rampage of the Downtown 'Demon'◆
A giant monster appeared downtown and destroyed several buildings. Local Crossbellans sustained both minor and major injuries. The 'demon'--believed to be associated with the raiders--roared so loudly that it could be heard from Central Square and Station Street.
◆Explosion at CPD Headquarters◆
The militia also attacked the CPD's headquarters, destroying the security shutters and blowing up the lobby. Experts believe this to have been a preemptive attack meant to slow the police's response to the raid. In the aftermath, nearly the entire city was overtaken by the raiders. They engaged in firefights, committed arson, and demolished a trading company's office in the Harbor District.
◆IBC Building Destroyed in Explosion◆
The IBC headquarters, one of the most cutting-edge buildings in the city, has been gutted by a series of osions. Due to the IBC's importance to both the people of Crossbell and the international economy at large, many are distressed over its destruction.
◆Attackers Repelled From Orchis Tower◆
The scene of the battle
It is highly likely that the raiders' primary target was the heart of Crossbell's government, Orchis Tower. An estimated half of their forces attempted to seize it, and the fighting is said to have been more intense than elsewhere in the city. Luckily, A-rank bracer, 아리오스 매클레인, happened to be present and cooperated with the police to drive back the raiders after hours of nonstop combat. The tower's plaza remains inaccessible, but officials state all administrative functions will be restored in the next few days.
◆A Message to All Crossbellans and Our Neighbors◆
As the sun appeared over the horizon, the raiders vanished to Goddess knows where. Though the perpetrators are gone, the wounds they left behind remain. Crossbell has suffered because of a militant force who perpetrated acts of wanton violence with no clear motive or objective. We here at the Crossbell News Service cannot help but feel intense anger at this irrational chain of events.
I would like to take a moment to pray for the brave CGF and CPD members who lost their lives in the conflict. My deepest sympathies go out to the injured and those who otherwise experienced loss.
Additionally, I would like to thank everyone involved in bringing this conflict to a close. Even if it was beyond their abilities, there were those who--without hesitation-- helped to evacuate other citizens even as their homes burned around them. These brave heroes deserve the highest praise someone like me can bestow upon them.
Crossbell has been battered and bruised. However, I believe that we can recover. To all Crossbellans and our closest neighbors: I beg of you all, please pray for peace to return to this land of ours.
