A recent report from the CGF reveals that sometime between yesterday afternoon and this morning, the third company was suddenly attacked while patrolling near Mainz. Details are limited; however, there is a high number of confirmed casualties. It is possible that the unknown assailants are now occupying Mainz proper. The perpetrators are armed and dangerous.
Our reporter in the field reported the echo of intermittent gunfire resounding from the area around Mainz. The apparent stalemate continued deep into the night.
