Rixia Mao (リーシャ・マオ) is a performing artist for the troupe Arc en Ciel and the current successor of the title of Yin (銀(いん), "Silver"), the designation given to a legendary assassin from Calvard over a century ago which has been passed down to inheritors in a chain of succession ever since.

Introduction

영웅전설 제로의 궤적

The newest member of the dance troupe, Arc en Ciel. She was simply another tourist visiting Crossbell before she was personally scouted by the troupe's top star, Ilya Platiere. Recognizing Rixia's natural talent at a glance, Ilya practically forced her into joining, and it wasn't long before Rixia was skilled enough to be cast as the co-star in Arc en Ciel's newest play. She is enthusiastic and hardworking and is one of the few to withstand Ilya's hardcore training sessions, making it through without a single complaint.

An up-and-coming performer who made her glorious stage debut in Trails from Zero. Her true identity is that of Yin, a skilled xiongshou--or assassin--who is feared throughout the Republic's Eastern Quarter. In Trails to Azure, this double life of hers is inadvertently brought to light...

A quiet, polite girl working as a performer at the Crossbell theater Arc en Ciel. Her true identity is Yin, a legendary assassin from Calvard who wields a massive blade, larger than herself. She was searching for her own path while fulfilling her duties as Yin and, through her interactions with Arc en Ciel, the Special Support Section and the people of Crossbell, she made the choice to pursue the life of a performer. Alongside her beloved fellow performer Ilya, the woman who saw her talents and recruited her for Arc en Ciel, she now spends her days training for a big show the theater will put on in celebration of the upcoming signing ceremony.

영웅전설 여의 궤적

The legendary assassin known as the demon of the Eastern Quarter. She conceals her face with a mask and wields a colossal sword that's taller than herself. She originally worked with the Heiyue crime syndicate, operating in the Republic from out of the Eastern Quarter. Some years ago, she moved to Crossbell for a time, during which news of Yin went suddenly silent.

After years away from Calvard, she returned to try to minimize the damage from the conflict with Almata, renewing her contract with Heiyue.

Appearance

Rixia is a young woman with long thick Indigo hair tied in a top pony tail with a loop, and matching eyes. Rixia wears a variety of outfits throughout the series, however her main outfits include:

Moon Princess: A costume for performing in the Arc en Ciel consisting of a white bandeau, waist cloth, boots, flared arm coverings and a gold headdress with moon iconography. Rixia wears several bead bracelets and necklaces and her body is covered in green tribal markings.

Yin (former): Rixia uses a mystical technique to disguise her true form and appear as a male. She wears long black trousers and a thick black cloak with protective metal plats. Her arm coverings give the appearance of feathers and extend past her hands. The outfit has a lilac trim. Covering her head is a hooded mask consisting of two layers and a metal mask, obscuring most of her face.

Yin (present): No longer using neigong to disguise herself, Rixia's face is out in the open, using a white ribbon in her hair. She wears a revealing blue and violet qipao variant with gold patterns that is open at the sides where it is laced up. She wears no leggings, using only thigh high stocking boots covered in metal reinforcement and a the long drape of her purple qipao, also ending in a metal plate. Rixia uses mauve metal armour on her arms consisting of several separate plates laced together and a clawed metal gauntlet is worn on one hand. Rixia uses lots of red cord to tie all of her outfit together.

Rixia is armed with an incredibly large 'demon sword' with a very thick blade, extended handle and a tip ending in a hook like shape. The blade is navy blue with violet markings across the central part.

Personality

Rixia is a polite young lady with a strong passion for dancing, but is humble towards her own capabilities. As Yin, her personality shifts to display more confidence and one that tests the strength of the Crossbell State Police Department. She finds herself questioning the path of being a dancer or an assassin, often leading to self doubt.

Trivia

• Rixia is the only character playable in the Trails of Cold Steel arc who does not appear in 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 IV. She is also the only playable character in the arc who cannot participate in the fight against the Great One (either directly or via a usable Brave Order) at the end of IV.
• Rixia appeared as a collectible character in the gacha game Mega Miracle Force to promote 영웅전설 시작의 궤적.
• While Rixia does make a cameo in the last few scenes of Kuro II, she doesn't have any lines, and therefore, isn't voiced in the game.
• Upon giving the complete Gambler Jack II book series to Vice Principle Heinrich in Trails of Cold Steel II, he reveals that Rixia is a fan of the Gambler Jack series and recommended the book series in an interview.
