Synopsis
Setting
The game takes place after the Great Twilight and events of 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 IV. It focuses the intertwining fates of three protagonists operating throughout Zemuria: the hero, Rean Schwarzer; the liberator, Lloyd Bannings; and the rogue, a masked person named "C". The perspective of the game alternates between these three groups through the Trails to Walk mechanism.[1]
- The Day of Reindependence (ザ デイ オブ リインディペンデンス) highlights the story of Crossbell's liberation from Erebonia's occupation, an event first mentioned in 영웅전설 벽의 궤적 and insufficiently addressed in 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 IV.
- Lost Symbol (ロスト シンボル) continues the story of Rean Schwarzer and the rest of Class VII from where it was left off in the true ending of 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 IV.
- The Miserable Sinners (ザ・ミゼラブル・シナーズ) follows four characters that form the crux of the game's story. Their leader, "C", named after the Imperial Liberation Front leader, investigates the Imperial Defense Force.

Announcement

In celebration of the series' 15th anniversary, Nihon Falcom revealed details for the next Kiseki title in Dengeki PlayStation, Volume 677. The reveal includes a key visuals with all the protagonists, including a trail leading from Estelle Bright, Lloyd Bannings and Rean Schwarzer to the back of two new characters.
The article points out the possibilities that these two characters are the protagonists and their similarities with the eponymous protagonists of the novel series Three & Nine, which could be collected in 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 IV.[2] Standing near them are Wazy Hemisphere, without his Gralsritter attire, and Crow Armbrust. Rixia Mao, Thoma Worzel and Scarlet, whose character designs were previously shown at Dengeki's Game Festival on March 24, 2019, are confirmed to appear in this title.[3] A map of the entirety of Zemuria, shrouding its eastern half still in darkness, was also revealed.[4]
The new Kiseki title was revealed as Hajimari no Kiseki on 18 December 2019.[5]

Trivia

- In the English version of the game, a tribute to Daniel Scott Tijerina (also known as KillScottKill) and Billy Kametz was made in the credits. Tijerina was the lead editor for the Geofront who helped supply fan translations for 영웅전설 제로의 궤적 and 영웅전설 벽의 궤적 in 2020 and 2021 respectively, before the official localisation by NIS America in 2022 and 2023. His death was first announced on 10th October 2022[6] and confirmed by his sister on 11th October 2022.[7] Kametz was the English voice actor for Wallace Bardias up until 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 IV. His death was confirmed on 11th June 2022[8] with the cause of death being colon cancer that he had announced two months prior.[9]
