아라미스 고등학교

Aramis Academy (アラミス高等学校) is a prestigious academy in Edith, Calvard.

Background

Aramis Academy was created from the former Royal Academy. During the Revolution, a great many students lost their lives in their fight against the monarchy. Sheena Dirke was one of the students from this school, and after the war she reformed the Royal Academy into Aramis Academy, based upon the ideals and opinions of her ally, the artist Aramis Gainsbourg, from whom the school gets its name. Concepts were borrowed from Liberl's Jenis Royal Academy as well as Erebonia's Thors Military Academy to use a reference. They believed in combining many, regardless of race, nationality, ideology, or creed, and channelling them into something greater. Aramis was the first president of the school.

The school was founded for the purpose to "cultivate a wide range of human resources to lead a new nation". Its open school spirit, emphasizing its students' independence and its educational concept that balances tradition and innovation, draws students from Calvard and abroad alike, and produces a large number of elites that will play a key role in Calvard's governance.

The site of the school played a role in the Calvardian revolution, when Sheena and her close followers hid under the school in a secret room. A statue of Aramis now marks this location and hides the chamber from view.

The Aramis student council is highly influential and responsible for the organization of many extracurricular events, such as the annual Aramis Arts Festival, which has become synonymous with spring in the capital. This festival takes place at the end of April. Thanks to Aramis' prestigious status, competition for the yearly student council elections is fierce and many students participate.

Curriculum

Subjects taught include the arts, physical education and history of the republic. Using orbal arts, including orbal staff training, is an electorate.

Students from Aramis complete an observational study, which involves a group of students travelling to and staying in a location somewhere in the Republic. The observational study is part of the independent curriculum for first and second years. It is optional and some students do not partake in it.
