IBC

The IBC, short for International Bank of Crossbell (クロスベル国際銀行(こくさいぎんこう)), is a large banking organisation in Crossbell City.

Background

The IBC manages the vast quantities of money flowing into Crossbell and supports the economies of nations across the continent. The IBC's interests extend beyond banking, too. In addition to providing most of the funding for the Epstein Foundation's Orbal Network Project, the bank manages theme parks and other similar diversions.

The IBC is the largest organisation of Zemuria in terms of assets, followed by Reinford Group.

Background

The IBC building serves as the headquarters of the IBC in Crossbell with Dieter Crois as its CEO. The Special Support Section visit the headquarters on many occasions as part of their duties or when they need to visit Mariabell Crois. They use the terminals on its lowest floor to access the Orbal Network.

After rescuing the SSS from brainwashed Revache members in the highway, Dieter and Mariabell take the SSS to the IBC building and give them shelter behind its fortified gates while the brainwashed members of the Crossbell Guardian Force, lay siege. When they plant a bomb to destroy the gates, the SSS comes out to defuse and hold back the waves of guardsmen until they're surrounded.

Joachim Guenter speaks with them through a guardsman, ordering them to give KeA to him or be forcefed Gnosis and controlled, but Arios MacLaine arrives to save them, together with Alex Dudley and Sergei Lou. Arios tells them where Guenter's base is located, with the chief driving the SSS on Dieter's armored car while the rest stay behind to protect KeA.

Background

Although Orchis Tower takes on many roles regarding the governance of Crossbell and the Orbal Network Project, the IBC continues to be an important building.

The SSS confront Sigmund Orlando in front of the IBC's building, being the leader of the Red Constellation's attack on the city. After fighting, he detonates the explosives that demolish the building before escaping on their new airship, the Behemoth.

In late S.1204, the International Bank of Crossbell froze all Erebonian and Calvardian assets as part of Crossbell State's declaration of independence from the Empire and Calvard, triggering an offensive from both nations.
