아이네스

Ines (アイネス), romanised by Falcom as Aines, and also known as Ines the Stout (剛毅(ごうき)のアイネス), is a commanding knight of the Stahlritter.

Profile

Appearance

Ines is a young woman with turquoise eyes and pastel-red hair which is worn in a long one-sided pony tail. With her 180 rege (1.80 meter) in height and wielding an enormous halberd, Ines's appearance is best described as imposing. She wears the standard armor of the Stahlritter, resembling a medieval knight's with several plates and round guards at the joints. Form-fitting black under clothing is worn beneath the armor, and a fuchsia skirt, split down the sides, is draped around the waist, sporting the Ouroboros emblem. Ines also wears an armoured headband with four protruding feathers and a large central piece above the forehead.

Personality

Her loyalty is devoted only to her master, but kept at a moderate level unlike Duvalie's fanaticism. She keeps a strict warriors code and places a lot of self-discipline towards improving her martial arts, even after her defeat in Crossbell after facing the Special Support Section. on some occasions, Ines is not above teasing the head knight Duvalie along side fellow knight Ennea.

Background

Before joining the Stahlritter, Ines worked as a bracer.She originally stated her goal was to master the arts, but traditional martial arts were going out of style, leading her to the guild. She felt constrained a limited by the rules and protocols of the guild, and was frustrated when the mastermind of an evil plot could not be executed, and had to be left to die on his own. Having taken up martial arts to protect the weak, Ines was smitten by 아리안로드's methods of cutting down those who create injustice and decided that her paths was more suited to her goals. After losing a duel to 아리안로드, she begged her to be taken as a disciple and quit the guild.

Ines assisted Duvalie during the initial stages of the Phantasmal Blaze Plan in Crossbell in S.1204. The unit makes its first appearance in the marshlands of Crossbell, not far from Mishelam. They effortlessly take down Lynn and Aeolia who were operating in the area, necessitating a search and rescue operation. The SSS were deemed unworthy and weak at the time, and Ines thought little of their strength.

As the first of the Stahlritter to confront the SSS at the Stargazer's Tower, she now states that they are indeed worthy opponents. She introduces herself but is defeated. After losing to them, she states that they should be careful of the other two knights.

Ines, together with the rest of her unit, moved to Erebonia in S.1206. After hearing her fellow Stahlritter commander Duvalie's story regarding her encounter with the Arseid Family, Ines had been looking forward to meeting them. She makes her appearance coming to the aid of Duvalie in Hamel, but does not engage in combat directly, teleporting out with the others after an introduction.

Ines is present at the meeting of Ouroboros members on Bryonia Island. Later, they use the Sol Shrine as a base, defeating and capturing 밀리엄 오라이온 who discovers it. When 린 슈바르처 and his new Class VII arrive in search of her, Ines and the Stahlritter engage them with the Radiant Star Formation. They are defeated but withdraw when 아리안로드 herself appears.

The Stahlritter are next seen attacking the Juno Naval Fortress. Ines and Ennea confront New Class VII in one of the paths, but teleport out after being scolded by Duvalie and are not seen again until the rooftop where they fight in conjunction with 아리안로드. They lose and withdraw once again, and are later seen running through the Langudoc Canyons relating their stories of how they met their Lord.

Ines takes part in the preparations of the Great Twilight, and acts as a guard for the Gral of Erebos along with the rest of the Stalhritter and their archaisms.

Ines is present at the Black Workshop, where they are patrolling and eventually called upon to apprehend Rean, who is trying to escape in a frenzied rage. Duvalie , having decided against the path of her lord temporarily has joined him and they engage sin a battle, supported by 맥번. Although Rean is successfully rescued, Ines stands by her Lord even as Duvalie herself leaves with Crow.

Ines and Ennea later appear as part of the forces attacking the multi-nation summit onboard the Pantagruel by the Glorious. Ines is present on the female side of the deck, with Sharon supporting them to use the Radiant Star formation.

Further on, Ines relates her backstory and motivation to the party as they reach her in the Stella Shrine in preparation for a rivalry with 아리안로드. Their fight helps charge the stage with conflict ready for the Rivalries to begin. She once again loses, but resuscitates in time to witness the death of her lord at the end of the rivalry.

Here on, Ines joins the side of Rean and his companions, including Duvalie. They volunteer their efforts to take on one of the five fake salt pales protecting the Tuatha De Danann alongside Zephyr. They are also teleported in to help in the final battle against 이슈멜가-Loge.

Ines makes a brief appearance as part of the forces summoned by 비타 클로틸드 to aid in the conflict against Elysium and the Retributive Tower.

A version of Ines appears as a Lieutenant of the Demon Prince Rean in Magical Girl Alisa, acting as a boss for the second stage alongside Ennea. This version wears gold and black armor instead of the usual silver.
