오비드

Orvid is a slightly eccentric merchant dealing in rare food ingredients.

He is the representative (and sole employee) of Orvid Co. Ltd. and he attempts to make a living travelling across Liberl in search of rare and exotic ingredients for use in exclusive meals. Orvid seems convinced that rare and valuable are synonymous when it comes to ingredients, which leads to situations that are perilous for all involved.

Orvid is first met near he airport of Rolent, seeking to get his hands on a rare mushroom before his flight departs. His bracer request to do so is taken on by Estelle and Joshua: they are to retrieve one for him from the nearby Malga trail. The mushroom, the Firefly Fungus, turns out to contain a high concentration of septium, causing it to attract monsters, something Orvid was aware of yet refrained from mentioning to the bracer guild or Estelle and Joshua. Estelle chastises him out over it later, although Orvid dismisses her objections by mentioning that as a bracer, she should be able to deal with unexpected circumstances.

Orvid is met again during Estelle's and Joshua's stay in Ruan when his niece Amelia puts in an request with the guild for a bracer to escort him to the Krone Pass. When Estelle and Joshua talk to Amelia in Manoria Village, it turns out that Orvid already left for the Krone Pass on his own. Deciding to go after him, Estelle, Joshua, and Kloe manage to arrive in the nick of time to save him from the threat of monsters. Orvid initially gets into another argument with Estelle, but voices his appreciation for their intervention anyway, and after being taken back to Manoria, he and Estelle part on better grounds.

Orvid is briefly seen on the airship Linde, travelling to Ruan at the same time Estelle is after her return from Le Locle. Estelle recognizes him as he is busy mentally preparing for his activities in the region, but due to her less-than-ideal interaction with him in the past, she decides against striking up a conversation with him.

Orvid used to live in Manoria together with Amelia and Zack, although he moved out earlier. Zack has hard feelings and does not get along with his uncle due to his Orvid's stubbornness and how committed he is to his goals, regardless of the cost. Amelia suspects that that is why he seldom visits.

Orvid appears in Parm, continuing his search for rare ingredients in Erebonia.

Orvid is present in this game as well, and gives Class VII a request to find ambergris.
