Malga Mine (マルガ山道) is a mine located to the north 150 arge north of Rolent.

Background

Malga Mine is where Rolent gets most of its sepith from, esmelas in particular, to use as export goods.

After Estelle and Joshua finish their mission at Perzel Farm, they are assigned to fetch a septium crystal for the mayor at Malga Mine. They spoke with the Mine Chief in the lower tunnels, but heavy rumbling shook the mine and a monster infestation soon broke through to the whole bottom level of the mine. The bracers rescued everyone, including a new miner who fled the scene, and delivered the crystal to the Mayor, who was talking with a student by the name of Josette.

It is later revealed that the new miner, who had run away, was part of a Sky Bandit gang, and had caused the cave-in in his efforts to spy a good theft target. The septium crystal, intended for Queen Alicia's birthday as a present from the people of Rolent, was later stolen by Josette, and the monster den uncovered by the bandit has since been blocked up.

Background

During Estelle's second visit to Rolent, the Malga Mine was still functioning, but had to be evacuated later due to the coma cases related to the sudden fog enveloping the region.

The country-wide Orbal Shutdown Phenomenon after the Aureole's return strands the miners in the lower tunnels due to the elevators not working. To make matters worse, the monster den is once again opened, swarming the mine with monsters.

Ridge, who had been sent to help before Estelle and her group arrived, managed to hold them off until the latter rescued the miners again with the help of the Zero Field Generators, but he wasn't able to stand against the monsters' leader. To rescue him, Estelle's group had to fight a massive Armored Hydra, and after its defeat the rest of the monsters scattered, solving the den problem for good.
