아이온 Type-γII

Aion Type-γ II (アイオーンTYPE‐γ II) is the successor unit to the Aion Type-γ. It goes by the title of 'Super-Dreadnaught Class Archaism'.

Background

The Aion series was developed by Doctor Novartis as successors to Pater-Mater. It was developed by Ouroboros' Thirteen Factories under supervision of the Sixth Anguis, Dr. F. Novartis. The original γ unit was destroyed by Pater-Mater.

It retains almost all the abilities possessed by the original, including the immense strength and double buster cannons. Unlike the original that relied on the powers of the new Sept-Terrion, the type II unit must charge up a reserve of mana. This unit is also capable of limited self-automation and can achieve flight by hovering through the air.

The γ unit is the first of the newer models to be revealed in Erebonia, as Shirley Orlando brings it out for their experiments and efforts to retake the Phantasmal Blaze Plan. This is first attempted in Hamel where the unit has been charging up mana. Rean Schwarzer calls in Valimar but the immense strength of the γ unit proves more than a match until Kurt Vander intervenes and provides assistance. Together they overcome the unit and disable it. Rutger Claussell soon appears afterwards and destroys the remains by using his Zector unit to impale it and blast it apart.

Multiple copies of the Aion type IIs were revealed to have been made when the Glorious attacks the Pantagruel. Mariabell Crois deploys them in the battle and takes control of the v unit personally, guidng it to the Pantagreuel's decks from the Glorious where it had been deployed from. Despite calling in Valimar and Ordine, the appearance of two more Divine Knights, Zector and Testa-Rossa tip the advantage back into the assailants hands. Bleublanc uses his magic knives and shadow stitching to immobilise the γ unit, causing it flail about as it is pinned by magic. This isn't expected to hold it for long however and not long afterwards, Mariabell circumvents the knives' magic and frees the unit, readying it for attack. After the battle, it flies back to the Pantagruel.

In the final battle, the γ unit is deployed outside the Tuatha De Danann as additional protection. This time it is easily brought down by the combined attack of Valimar and Ordine who destroy it with a team attack.
