Background
The Vanders have historically been associated with the guardianship of the Imperial family, dating all the way bakc to the time of the War of The Lions in which Roland Vander fought besides the Lionheart Emperor. They are famed for teaching and handing down one of the two esteemed swordsmanship styles of the Empire, the Vander School. This style is mainly focused on the use of large greatswords which suit large builds, but for those with slender builds, a dual sword style also exists.
The Vander Family mainatin great links with the Imperial Army of Erebonia, with many family members occupying leadership positions. They own and run Training halls across the Empire, including ones in Parm and the Leica District of Heimdallr.
Due to their ties to Olivert Reise Arnor, their guardianship of the Imperial family is taken from them in the lead up to the Great War, but is later reinstated afterwards.
