Introduction
A black cat that has recently begun appearing around the Thors Academy and the town of Trista.
She has elegant, lustrous fur and is loved by the residents and students, but her proud and arrogant attitude seems to suggest that she believes that "it's only natural for humans to serve felines". It appears to be Emma's cat, and she secretly brought it home when she enrolled. For some reason, it seems to be interested in Rean, but when he tries to pay attention to it, she scratches him with her claws. [1]
A seemingly-ordinary cat who turned out to be not so ordinary. Though she mainly serves a society of witches known as the Hexen Clan, Celine currently acts as Rean's guide while he gains familiarity with his role as Valimar's Awakener. Beyond the fact that she happens to talk, her blunt-yet-sensitive temperament makes her a difficult partner for Rean to accept at first. She is kinder than she prefers to let on, however, and her boundless knowledge of Erebonia's more inexplicable happenings proves time and time again to be a valuable asset as the war carries on.[2]
A black cat who has beautiful fur, and far more puzzlingly, the ability to speak human language. In actuality, she is Emma's familiar and helper, given to her by the Elder of the Hexen Clan. At first, her only role was to evaluate Rean's worthiness as Valimar's Awakener, but after the civil war broke out, she served as Rean's partner in piloting Valimar and finding his scattered friends. After the civil war, she returned to her and Emma's home town. Now, they travel across the empire, searching for Vita Clotilde and visiting the various spirit shrines built by the ancient Gnomes and Hexen Clan.[3]
Emma's talking familiar and supervisor in the form of a black cat. Having been created by the elder of the Hexen Clan, her magic is highly potent, allowing her to even take on a human form at will. She grew close with Rean in her cat form while lingering around Thors Military Academy's campus, then later became his support as he piloted his Divine Knight. She protected him through countless predicaments, including when he was offered up as a sacrificial pawn during the Great Twilight. After the disaster passed, she returned to Eryn Village for a short while before embarking once again to investigate the spirit veins across Zemuria.[4]
Appearance
Celine is a black cat with yellow eyes and purple tufts of fur on her paws, chest tail tip and ears. She has a blue collar with a small Hexen bell around her neck, and a blue ribbon tied to her tail.
Celine's human form takes the form of a young girl with darker skin, some of which is covered in black fur. She retains her claws, fangs, and tail, and also has two large cat ears extending from her hair. She wears a single black dress which appears to be made of a leathery like materials that is split from the bust downwards and covered in a series of belts to keep it together. Her collar and bell are incorporated into the collar of this new dress. She goes barefooted.
Personality
Celine has a somewhat aloof personality. She can be cold and harsh, yet she also shows a warm side to people like Emma, Elise Schwarzer, and Princess Alfin Reise Arnor. She also often encourages others to find their own answers. She admits there are certain mysteries she doesn't comprehend.
Celine does not seem to be fond of the Septian Church, possibly due to witches having been persecuted by the church at one time. She also dislikes Vita Clotilde and her familiar Grianos due to Vita's betrayal of Hexen Clan law. Unlike Grianos, Celine is capable of human speech.
