The Rieveldt Company (リーヴェルト社) is a manufacturer of musical instruments based in Erebonia.

Background

The Rieveldt company are an internationally renowned manufactor and purveyer of high quality musical instruments and music boxes. The company was founded by the Rieveldt family itself, although in present times, management no longer resides within the family. They pride themselves on creating high-quality, carefully crafted instruments at an affordable price.

Musical instruments the company creates includes, but is not limited to: harmonicas, pianos and stringed instruments such as Elliot Craig's violin. They also create music boxes, many of which are regarded as antiques, one being Elie MacDowell's own music box.

Once headquartered in Saint-Arkh, the Rieveldt family's hold over the company was lost due to the actions of Claire Rieveldt taking action against her uncle, the vice-president, who had been mass-produced cheaply manufactured replicas of their instruments from abroad for easy profits, sacrificing the reputation of quality the company had established. Some of these products were labelled as 'maestro class' and used to scam people of even more money.

Claire's enchanced cognition abilities allowed her to detect the underhanded business strategies by analysing the unbelievable spikes in profits in the account books. Claire's father, the president, died before he could take action, leaving Claire to go through with challenging her uncle alone. Her actions led to his arrest and execution, and the eventual relinquishing of control of the company due to the scandal, as well as a sharp decline until the present day.

Ten years prior to the start of 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 III, the company moved its headquarters to the Leica District of Heimdallr. The old headquarters can still be seen boarded up in the old city. Morgan, once an employee of the company, became its president and was entrusted with an important task of delivering a music box to the children of the Rieveldt family once they came of age. The president and vice-president had always been very nice to him and he was determined to see this task through, even 11 years later when the music box had been thought lost but had been found. Rean Schwarzer helped him open the box with assistance from Michael Irving and Claire.

Isara Irving reportedly has business dealings with the Rieveldt company as a management consultant. The Rieveldt company is also set to sponsor its own orchestra, with Elliot's old classmates Kalinka, Ron and Morris participating. Applications were said to be difficult and require serious skill.
