Arc Royale (アークロイアル号) is an armoured train loaned by the Railway Military Police to the Thors Military Academy for their personal use.
Background
The Arc Royale is an armoured train identical to its counterpart, the Derfflinger in all but color and decoration.
The train consists of six cars:
- Engine room
- Briefing room and staff office
- Dining hall and lounge
- Student cabins
- Freight area for Panzer Soldats
- Freight area for Panzer Soldats
영웅전설 섬의 궤적 III
The Arc Royale is first seen by the new Class VII when it pulls into Heimdallr Central Station alongside the Branch Campus' own Derfflinger. Students from Thors Main campus, including Cedric Reise Arnor, Ada Grant, Fritz Geithner and Class I disembark and meet Class VII. Major Michael Irving introduces the train, stating it is identical save for the colour and extra decorations.
The Arc Royale is used by the Main Campus to help them get to the Gral of Erebos and defend it on behalf of Cedric.
영웅전설 섬의 궤적 IV
The Arc Royale initially takes part in the operation to try and apprehend Musse Egret, Aurelia Le Guin and Class VI in the Osgiliath Basin, acting as part of the surrounding perimeter. It is later mentioned as having gone missing from the Main Campus, classified as a leave of absence officially but having government officials on edge.
The Arc Royale in truth had been used by Main Campus students dissatisfied with the direction Erebonia was taking towards war and their conviction to try and oppose it. After Class VII defeats them, they fully resolve to back them and deploy the Arc Royale across the Empire.
During operation Shining Steel, alumni of Thors, alongside Instructor Beatrix deploy the train to support the operation. Their plan is to 'destabilise the defences' in the eastern half of the Empire. Rean Schwarzer is able to communicate with former acquaintances from the Courageous II.
영웅전설 시작의 궤적
The Arc Royale transports the Main Campus students and their soldats to Retributive Tower in Crossbell. The soldats deploy while the train is moving to join the battle.
