Roy Gramheart's story.
Background
Roy Gramheart attended Aramis Academy and served as the student council president for the class of S.1179. During his time as a student, he would later meet Lilia Claudel when she was working at the school store, as well as her daughter Sophie, who Gramheart started looking out for like a little sister due to her being eight years younger tham him. After graduating, Gramheart served in the Republican Army of Calvard, during which he led the army's most elite special forces. Over time however, he later started seeing Sophie as more than just a little sister and later proposed to her on the observation deck of Trion Tower, which she happily accepted.

On paper, Gramheart served as a military attaché at the embassy for the Calvard Republic in Liberl during the Hundred Days War. In reality, he served as Calvard's 'sword' and was instructed to remain silent to keep the aggressor Erebonia in check. Gramheart did not participate in battle and co-operated with Colonel Cassius Bright's 'training unit' (教導隊), which in truth were preparations for the counterattack. Gramheart played a major role in dividing and defeating the occupying Imperial Army of Erebonia's Armored Divisions through strategy and information warfare. Due to his role in the war however, Gramheart was unable to be present for the birth of his daughter, Agnès Claudel, on July 12th, S.1192.
After returning to Calvard, it is said he privately received words of gratitude from Queen Alicia von Auslese. Gramheart reported the lessons he learned to his superior, Brigadier General Daniel Harling, and Samuel Rocksmith. His reporting led to the development of the Republican Army's Armored Aviation Divisions.
Gramheart's involvement in the Hundred Days War put him on the ruling's party radar. During the D∴G Cult Extermination he served as liaison between the operation, the military and the government. After the operation's success, he pulled political strings to ensure the privacy and security of the cult's victims and their families.
While Gramheart later left the military and started a career in politics, his schedule was constantly packed and he was unable to be with his wife and daughter as much as he wanted. Because of this, he and Sophie would try to occasionally make time to be with their daughter Agnès by going to Trion Tower where they would talk about various subjects and their family.
Around S.1204 however, Sophie's health took a turn for the worse. Agnès and Gramheart both kept Sophie company during this period and began to grieve when they realized that she was going to die. After Sophie passed away, Gramheart started focusing on his political career completely, straining his relationship with his daughter in the process.
Before Gramheart's Patriot Party was formed, Roy was a member of the republican party and was close friends with Samuel Rocksmith. In S.1206, Gramheart ran as the candidate for the opposition party in the election for the presidency of the Republic of Calvard against Samuel Rocksmith. He campaigned against the current president's policies on immigration as well as his soft response to Erebonian expansion. Gramheart easily won election and became slated to become president in S.1207.
In the aftermath of the Great War, as president-elect, he forced Rocksmith to demand astronomical reparations from the Erebonian Empire. Once he took office, he distributed those funds among the populace, making him very popular among Calvard's people.

After the Retributive Tower's appearance and Elysium's threat to destroy Baratie Air Force Base, Gramheart contacts the Crossbellian Goverment, represented by Henry MacDowell, and offers that the Republic Army of Calvard could assist in its destruction, an action which would likely result in Crossbell's renewed occupation. He additionally states that he will be forced to deploy the army to protect the nation's interests if the weapon is not dealt with in time, but the group is already aware of his motives. They manage to destroy the Retributive Tower before it could fire once more, thereby keeping Crossbell safe from Gramheart's intentions.
At some point after the second Crossbell incident, with the help of MTSC and a CID intermediary, Gramheart managed to barge into a meeting between the Grandmaster, McBurn and F. Novartis in the Celestial Globe. Despite the Grandmaster referring to him as their most formidable opponent for their next plan, Gramheart states that he actually came to negotiate with her, promising to not interfere with the Society's Eternal Recurrence Plan in return for them not disrupting his research into other "possible worlds". The Grandmaster agrees to his request.

Roy makes his first appearance on a televised speech to the nation about their prosperity over the last two years and Calvard's prominence on the World Stage. Van Arkride considers him overbearing but the real deal.
It is Gramheart that gives the order for the Marduk Company to move in and add additional security when Basel is attacked by archaisms.
During the events of Daybreak, it is revealed that Roy Gramheart is Agnès Claudel's father.
Roy has his own ambitions at play during the events of the game. René Kincaid becomes his personal aide and is brought into the fold, along with Yang Cronkite and Hermes. MTSC and the Ikaruga are also employed to assist his aims. The group are working on something called the Zeku Space Base to revolutionise the Republic and the world.
Gramheart is preoccupied in the aftermath of Creil's demise and René takes over addressing the nation to inform them of the event. When Agnès' makes her resolve to go to Oración, Roy approves it as long as she acts with responsibility and he advises her to make use of her resources and unique position, giving her a time limit of three days for which he will cover for her before sending in the military.
Gramheart gives a speech on Revolution Day to roaring crowds, in memorial to those lost and announcing the next stage in Calvard's military technology: the Ix-Alba cruiser airships, Assault Frames, and Shedal series tanks. His approval ratings have soared following the swift resolution of the incident.
When Almata and the Gardens manifest Genesis Tower through the use of the seventh Genesis Roy takes to the field himself in the Vantail District piloting a new Assault Frame to help destroy the demon pillars. Gerard comments that there is something special about his bloodline and that he has been working with shadowy groups. When the tower dissipates, Gramheart brushes it off to the public as him wanting to surprise everyone, wishing them a happy Revolution Day.
He can be seen watching from the window of his home when Van drops his daughter back.

Gramheart is stated to have started joint exercises between the Navy and Marduk in Langport for uncertain reasons.
By the time that people are affected by the Corrosion and he and Ryan Connery were originally planned to have a political debate, Gramheart is targeted in a coup d'etat caused by Cody MacMillan becoming corroded into believing that he was responsible for the deaths of his father and former president Rocksmith while multiple people are corroded into believing other lies about him in order to assist with his arrest. While being helped by Towa Herschel, prince Sherid Asval, Ryan Connery, Marielle Aymé, and inspector Daswani, Gramheart is forced to surrender when they are targeted by Shard copies of Zin Vathek and Kilika Rouran in order to spare the others with Marielle going with him to see what would happen. They are both later saved by Arkride Solutions arriving and free Cody, Zin, and Kilika. While Cody attempts to take his life to atone for starting the coup, Gramheart managed to grab his gun and talked him out of it while winning him over and arrested him. After this, Gramheart hands over the sixth Genesis that Cody had in his possession and agreed to help locate the Gardenmaster.
Before he was able to assist them however, the Gardenmaster used the Corrosion on a massive scale and tried to rewrite the last century of Calvard's history. Thanks to Nadia Rayne giving Agnès the seventh Genesis before it was complete, time was reset to the beginning of the week, causing the coup to never happen in the first place. However, Gramheart managed to retain his memories of the coup. As a result of it never happening, the political debate between him and Ryan went off without a problem.
During the Aramis Academy school festival, Gramheart decided to attend since his daughter was part of it, causing many people to be shocked when he arrived. In private, he met with Van and his daughter in order to thank them for their help with stopping the coup and gave them a small reward. While he tries to bring up the subject of the Oct-Geneses, the others in the meeting managed to change the subject. Gramheart is last seen looking on at the play that the academy students produced.
