The Doll Studio (人形工房(にんぎょうこうぼう)), also known as the Rosenberg Studio (ローゼンベルク工房(こうぼう)), is a workshop in north Crossbell.

Background

The Studio is operated by Joerg Rosenberg, dedicated to the construction of puppetry and automatons. Publicly, the studio creates dolls that are in high demand among wealthy collectors and is also responsible for the mechanics in the stage of Arc en Ciel. Secretly it is a branch of the Thirteen Factories and was responsible for the initial development of the Gordias-class tactical archaisms, such as Pater-Mater.

Background

The Special Support Section take a detour on their way to Mainz, meeting Renne there for the first time. Later Jona Sacred is able to find "Kitty" in the orbal network, revealing the studio to be the source of the intrusions. Renne, taking the alias "Kitty", has been using Rosenberg's equipment to infiltrate the network while he works on repairing Pater-Mater, following the actions of the SSS and Estelle and Joshua.

Imelda can ask the SSS to pick up a Rosenberg doll she bought from him at his studio, where he challenges the SSS to defeat a group of automatons modeled after angels. If they succeed, he agrees to let them inside, where they talk about Renne and KeA before giving them the doll.

At the end of the SSS and the bracers' infiltration of the D∴G cult's base, Renne intercedes with a repaired Pater-Mater to save them from Joachim Guenter's demon berserk rage. With her last issue in Crossbell settled, she tries to run away from Estelle and Joshua, but Pater-Mater instead delivers her to them, having been modified by the meister to act in her best interest.

Quests

• Monster Damage Investigation: Rosenberg Studio must be visited before going to Mainz.

Background

The reformed SSS can visit the studio on their way to Mainz for their investigation into the Old Mine. At the entrance they find the meister speaking with a boy and a professor, denying them entry to their studio and talking about Pater-Mater before noticing the SSS. After the two guests leave, Joerg refuses to speak with them at this point, asking them to come when they have a reason to.

After the appearance of cryptids in Crossbell, the SSS decides to speak with Joerg to find out more about Ouroboros' plans for the state. They find the meister giving an Arc en Ciel member automatons for their stage, after which he agrees to speak with them inside. The meister confirms his studio is part of Ouroboros' factories, and gives them an overview of the society's structure and the existence of the Phantasmal Blaze Plan. He also denies any connection between the society and the D∴G cult beyond Joshua and Leonhardt exterminating the Paradise lodge and taking Renne in.

Following the declaration of independence and Lloyd's escape from prison, the SSS once again visits Joerg in the studio, with Zeit present. He tells them Ouroboros' focus has shifted to Erebonia, with Crossbell being under control of Dieter Crois' regime. However, there still are three members present to assist with their plan: Campanella, F. Novartis and Arianrhod, who are protecting the bells at the Moon Temple and Stargazer's Tower. The meister agrees to help the SSS and share his conclusions, despite his supposed allegiance to Ouroboros.

Rosenberg later contacts them to let them know that disabling the bells is key to dispelling the barrier surrounding the city, before returning Pater-Mater to Renne to help fight against the Aions.

Background

C's group visit the Doll studio in search of Lapis Rosenberg's memories or the meister himself. They discover the interior has been modified with deadly traps including lasers and an assortment of archaisms and mechanical creatures. After navigtaing thier way through, the party is split up and come face to face with F. Novartis's simulacra of figures such as the Emperor, Harold and Sophia Hayworth and numerous copies of Lapis herself.
