Private Egel is a soldier serving in the Royal Army.
He's stationed at Krone Pass checkpoint separating the cities Bose and Ruan.
When Estelle and Joshua arrive at Krone Pass after the arrest of the sky bandits and the rescue of the hostages, it's already getting late and they're advised against travelling further and to spend the night at the checkpoint instead. Deciding to take his advice, Estelle and Joshua spend the night in the sleeping quarters.
That night, the checkpoint gets attacked by a pack of wolf-like monsters and Egel helps defend the gate.
