Private Cutinger is a soldier serving in the Royal Army.
He's stationed at Krone Pass checkpoint separating the cities Bose and Ruan and can be found guarding the gate on the Bose side.
When Estelle and Joshua arrive at Krone Pass after the arrest of the Capua Sky Bandits and the rescue of the hostages, it's already getting late and Cutinger advises against travelling further, suggesting them to spend the night at the checkpoint instead. Deciding to take his advice, Estelle and Joshua spend the night in the sleeping quarters.
When his colleague Usher appears to relieve him later that night, Cutinger wonders out loud if standing guard here all night long is really necessary and Usher replies that rules are rules. Just then, the two of them are attacked by a pack of wolf-like monsters and quickly raise the alarm. Fortunately, he and his colleagues are well-trained and are able to fend off the attack without anyone suffering major injuries although that's partially due to Estelle, Joshua and Agate noticing and intercepting a second attack from the other side.

Private Cutinger is a collegue of Private Usher, Private Egel and Private Mikey.
He's also a subordinate of Chief Watch Officer Zelste and Watch Officer Serose.
