Lapis Rosenberg (ラピス・ローゼンベルク) is a Rosenberg Studio-made doll, appearing as a human girl.

A petite Rosenberg doll made to resemble a human girl. Though she has no memories, she has a strong sense of self and a vibrant personality to accompany her perfect construction. She takes great pride in being such a high-quality Rosenberg doll, so she works very hard to present herself with an air of elegance worthy of the name. This, unfortunately, is often undercut by endearing bouts of absentmindedness. After meeting Swin, Nadia, and C following a series of events, she chose to travel with them in hopes of unlocking her memories and discovering her purpose.

The pseudo-personality of Elysium's administrator housed in a Rosenberg archaism. She possesses humanlike sensibilities—such as a voracious appetite and penchant for rating names based on cuteness—as well as the overwhelming processing capabilities of a high-level artificial intelligence. Though her personality had been overwritten by a malevolent force sometime in the spring, she was eventually able to regain her sense of self thanks to Arkride Solutions, the Bracer Guild, and Swin and Nadia. Lapis has since traveled to Ored with Rufus, where she transferred her AI into a new body created through the joint efforts of Meister Joerg and Marduk.

Appearance

Lapis is a petite doll resembling a young girl. Her joints are visible on her ankles, wrists and knees. Lapis has curly white hair and heterochromatic eyes: one mint blue and one amber. Lapis dresses in the gothic-lolita style, with a frilly white and violet dress, numerous ruffles and a lacy headband with white rose decorations. She has white legs with ribbons tied around her shins, matching a larger one on her collar.

Lapis is armed with a large doubled headed-axe, which is capable of collapsing into a black suitcase. The axe is black with silver blades and intricate golden designs forming a cross. The height of this axe easily dwarfs Lapis herself.

Personality

As one of Joerg's creations, Lapis holds immense pride as a Rosenberg doll. As she was specially created, she is far different from other dolls who are generally lifeless, being capable of expressing emotions and ability to move around on her own. She acts with grace most of the time.

Lapis is notably curious about the outside world and humans in general due in part to her conversations with Ian as an AI. She believes that humans should simply lead the lives they want as they are all unique, most notably being able to connect with Rufus Albarea during her travels with him. Despite being a doll, she enjoys eating food and is somehow able to convert it into energy.

Lapis occasionally give scores on people's name base on cuteness although never had give the criteria how she decided these scores tend to disregard how people feel about it.
