Jenis Royal Academy (ジェニス王立学園) is a private school that operates from the Ruan region. It's situated 252 selge northeast of the City of Ruan and 312 selge east of Manoria Village. Notable alumni include Crown Princess Klaudia von Auslese, Mayor of Bose Maybelle, Lucy Seiland and Gilbert Stein.

Background

Jenis Royal Academy was established centuries ago in what is now known as the Old Schoolhouse. The new and current campus was built in front of the old schoolhouse and has been in use since approximately S.1182. Jenis is reputed for its strict entrance examination process, and the annual festival they host each year, with the proceeds going to charity.

While meeting with Mayor Klaus, Josette Capua donned a Jenis student disguise and acted the part well enough to fool the Mayor and Estelle. Later, on their way to Ruan, Estelle and Joshua meet Kloe Rinz, a student from the academy who helps at Mercia Orphanage and helps them tour Ruan.

After Agate takes over the investigation of the orphanage's arson, Kloe takes Estelle and Joshua to the academy to help with the upcoming festival and play as actors in the school play, Madrigal of the White Magnolia. The festival and the play are a success, and the money raised is given to Matron Theresa to rebuild the orphanage.

Background

After the events of the Queen's Anniversary, Kloe returns to the academy to continue her studies. Estelle reunites with Kloe after the investigation into the white shadow appearing over Ruan leads to the academy. Kloe and the Student Council help the bracers investigate further, and they find the origin of the shadow to be the old schoolhouse, under which Bleublanc was experimenting with a Gospel on a projector.

Following the encounter, Kloe asks Dean Collins for a permission to leave the school and help Estelle in her search.

During the country-wide Orbal Shutdown Phenomenon, taking advantage of the cut communication lines, Gilbert Stein occupies the academy with a detachment of Ouroboros enhanced jaegers in order to take the crown princess hostage and gain favor with his higher-ups. However, he fails to take into account that Kloe Rinz was the princess in disguise and currently absent from the academy.

Estelle and Joshua find Mickey on the road to the academy, who was being chased by war animals. Learning about the occupation, the bracers are then assisted by Kurt's team, and infiltrate the academy to liberate the students.

Background

In the Sixth Plane of Phantasma, Kevin finds the first trial monument, which needs Kloe to activate it. After doing so, they're transported to a copy of the academy, taking the form of the Monochrome Schoolhouse.

The academy is devoid of color at first, and defeating all the dark knights in each area restores it, while defeating a color knight will return the area to monochrome and restore the dark knights. Once all areas have their color restored, the back gate leading to the Schoolhouse opens. On the back road, Kevin and Kloe are confronted by the Raven Gang leaders, aware that they're copies and unable to go against their purpose of fighting them, but retaining their personality.

Education Structure

Jenis Royal Academy has 3 main courses of study: Natural Sciences, Social Studies and Physical Education.

Points of Interest 

• Main Building - Where all of the classes are held. The Staff Faculty room and the Dean's Office is also located there.
• Clubhouse - Annex on the right side of the main building. Contains the Student Council Room, a cafe, locker rooms and a archive room.
• Auditorium - Annex on the left side of the main building. In the auditorium, the students perform a play during the annual school festival.
• Boys Dormitory - The place where the male students sleep, supervised by Mister Effort.
• Girls Dormitory - The place where the female students sleep, supervised by Miss Wiola.
• Old Schoolhouse - The former main building of Jenis Royal Academy, which is not currently in use.
