Le Locle (ル＝ロックル) is a region located in Leman State owned and controlled by the International Bracers Association.

Background

Le Locle Canyon is a region of Leman bought by the Bracer Guild near its headquarters to serve as a training ground for bracers from all of Zemuria. In addition to a lodge near the entrance to the canyon, the Bracer Guild has several training facilities intended for diverse situations: Balstar Channel, an old set of sewers; Saint-Croix Forest, a large forest full of monsters; and Grimsel Fortress, a high-security facility equipped with the latest technology.

Estelle travels here to train together with Anelace after Joshua's disappearance, in order to prepare for the danger Ouroboros poses. With Kurt Nardin acting as their trainer, they spend a full month of training before the lodge is suddenly attacked by jaegers. The jaegers use sleeping gas to take Estelle and Anelace deep into the forest, while Kurt and the lodge's staff is taken hostage in Grimsel Fortress.

Estelle and Anelace make their way to the center of the fortress where they defeat the jaeger leader, who turns out to be Kurt himself, with Carna and Grant acting as the other jaegers. The assault had been the pair's final training, as is tradition for the first time trainees. Estelle and Anelace return to Liberl to begin their investigation into Ouroboros while Kurt, Grant and Carna stay behind to partake in more advanced training.

Background

After Ries refuses to accompany Kevin because of his deceptions, Joshua decides to back him up while heading to the Fourth Plane. They arrive in front of the lodge and are immediately ambushed by beast fiends, and after fending them off, the mysterious ghost they've encountered before appears again to give them the map of the canyon and information about how to proceed, before fading again.

Once Kevin and Joshua clear the three other areas of the canyon, they return to the lodge to find the warp to the Fifth Plane. Suddenly, the other gatekeeper of hell, Astarte of the Abyss, appears and immobilizes them with the original Evil Eye curse, but before it can attack, Ries returns and fights Astarte off by herself. However, she doesn't last long before being put in danger by the devil, forcing Kevin to unleash his Stigma to break the curse and attack the devil head on.

After defeating Astarte, they obtain the Sealing Stone for Estelle, and the Lord of Phantasma appears to confront Kevin again. Taunting Kevin again, the Lord challenges them to obtain the final pieces in the Fifth Plane before disappearing again.

Quests and Doors

• The Fourth Plane: Kevin and Joshua arrive at Le Locle from the Third Plane, and after freeing Estelle, return to the lodge for the warp to the Fifth Plane.
