아르세이유 II

The Arseille II (高速巡洋艦(こうそくじゅんようかん)《アルセイユI》だ) is a high-speed cruiser from Liberl. It is the sister ship to the Courageous II and serves as the successor to the original Arseille.

Background

What became of the original Arseille is unknown, but it eventually made way for the improved Arseille II.

This high-speed airship measures 92 arge in length, just like its sister ship the Courageous II. It shares the same armaments, a retractable main cannon, rocket pods and laser sponsons. Developed after the end of the Great War and based on the Courageous, it can be assumed it is equipped with the same anti-hacking devices developed by Erika and Albert Russell, next-gen terminals from the Epstein Foundation, the latest hydrodynamics of the Roer Institute of Technology and next-gen orbal engines developed by the Zeiss Central Factory. Also developed in secrecy, it was constructed to prepare for 'the next disaster' using the data obtained form the Courageous II. The site of development is said to be the former Ouroboros Lakeside Laboratory.

With the Courageous II incapacitated, Elysium and Ishmelga Rean were not expecting that a second high-speed cruiser had been developed and henceforth had not factored it into their calculations. Using a clever cloaking field to disguise it as the incapacitated ship, the apparent miraculous return of the Courageous II threw the predictive systems off. A barrage of lasers revealed the true appearance of the Arseille II and the party are shocked to discover it when they are teleported onboard. The novelty of the ship and its secret nature allowed to bypass many of Retributive Tower's defences and allow it to transport the party to the main facility.
