시드니

시드니 (Sidney, シドニー) is a student in Class VIII of the Thors Branch Campus in 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 III.

Profile

Appearance

시드니 is a young man with curled reddish brown hair and pale red eyes. He wears the standard male Branch Campus uniform consisting of a dark blue blazer, waistcoat and black trousers. 시드니 has a purple shirt instead of the standard white, and wears black gloves and olive green sneakers in addition to the rest of his uniform.

시드니 uses an orbal sniper rifle in combat.

Personality

시드니's primary motivation seems to be finding attention form the girls, but he is constantly met with disappointment and has a reputation as being hopeless in love. He is ever-optimistic, though, and refuses to get setbacks get in the way of perseverance. This is also true of his hobbies and duties, with 시드니 worried that he has no shining qualities that set him apart from everyone else.

Learning chess is his way of training myself to think things through a little more carefully...and because he thinks being perceived as smart will attract girls.

Background

시드니 is born in S.1189 and lives in Lamare Province, growing up in Grenville.

영웅전설 섬의 궤적 III

At the age of 17, he enrolls at the Thors Branch Campus and is placed into Class VIII: Combat Tactics under 랜디 올랜도. He joins the Chess Club with 쿠르트 반다르 and spends much of his time discussing strategies to make himself more appealing to the female students, feeling down when it appears others have all the luck, including Kurt.

시드니 is especially down on himself when he feels he has no qualities that make him unique or stand out, especially in comparison to Maya who also uses a sniper rifle, yet is far more skilled. After Rean does some investigation to boosts 시드니's morale, he is shown that although he is worse on average, he excels at hitting moving targets which is more difficult. It is remarked that 시드니 still needs to practise much more than he is doing however. 시드니's motivation is restored after this. He claims to have an encyclopedic knowledge of 'swimsuit babes'.

영웅전설 섬의 궤적 IV

시드니 is encountered again in Milsante after the Great Twilight. He was worried about his family back in Grenville but is gathering information. After hearing that Rean's sister was being kept in Leeves, he and 타티아나 figured they should do something about it and try to get into the town.

시드니 takes a ling to 에이다 그랜트 and tries to get her ARCUS number when exchanging contact info aboard the Courageous II, which she declines. 시드니 is in charge of guns on the ship, but does spend some time on the surface with 카이리 supporting the main campus. Ada and 시드니 are ambushed by monsters, and 시드니 offers to keep them back while Ada escapes but Rean manages to intervene and save both. Ada accuses 시드니 of thinking she is weak because she is a girl, but 시드니 states it should be her that lives instead of him. Ada thinks him some kind of crazy feminist but appreciates the gesture and says she is impressed, even if 시드니 isn't popular. 시드니 confirms Ada and Fritz are not together, which gives him hope for the future.

Later in Mishelam, Ada and 시드니 end up on the Ferris wheel together and by his own account, they really 'clicked' and he saw her smile for the first time after some awkwardness and talking. Ada said she would think about it after 시드니 asked to do it again in the future.

영웅전설 시작의 궤적

시드니 and Kurt play Ada and Fritz in a chess competition at the branch campus festival. 시드니 loses to Ada, but she compliments him on how much he has improved and agrees to consider meeting with him for another match. 시드니 celebrates this achievement and starts yelling about how he is suddenly winning at life, enough so that most of the campus appears to hear him.

시드니 also celebrates Randy returning successfully from the Crossbell operation and is present at Freddy's offering for the Imperial Wedding dining.

	策士、策に溺れる 夏至祭にクルトとカイリを誘い、女子の注目を集めることに成功するが……シドニーの存在感は消えてしまった。

	True Gentleman 시드니 showed Ada he knows how to get things done. He let out a big grin when he found out she and Fritz aren't an item.
	Ah, Youth The trip to MWL helped 시드니 and Ada get a little closer. Will they start dating? Either way, it's made everything much less tense.

	男子の務め エイダの前で男気をみせたシドニー。彼女がフリッツと付き合っていないと知り、ニヤニヤが止まらない様子だ。
	春来たる？ ＭＷＬでエイダとの仲が深まったらしく、一足飛びに付き合う気満々。期せずして皆の緊張をほぐしていた。
