Synopsis
The Daydream opens with Wazy Hemisphere and Wald Wales facing off against each other in front of a large crowd.
February 18 - 4 Days after the liberation of Crossbell from the Special Guard, the Crossbell Police Department and Crossbell Guardian Force were in the process of dealing with the fallout of the liberation mission. The Special Support Section and Imperial Inspectorate, including Machias Regnitz head into the Orchis Tower whilst Noel Seeker completes her CGF duties. She hears the sound of a Merkabah's engines.
Having piled most of his work onto Scarlet, Wazy Hemisphere and Wald Wales have a free day which they use to reminisce around Crossbell City. Wazy meets up with women he used to liaise with and soon Vesse and Ryan, two former members of the Testaments. They catch up in Garante bar with another former member, Azel, and talk about where their lives have taken them. Likewise, Wald meets up with former members of the Saber Vipers, Dino and Luganov after viewing the new downtown district. They go to Kouki, another former member and talk over noodles. Dino hasn't forgiven Wald for his previous actions but they still respect him and look up to him.
Meanwhile, Noel talks with Commander Sonya Baelz about Ozma Seeker, and how he inspired Sonya. Fran Seeker comes and invites Noel to lunch and in doing so they encounter Wazy with his group. The presence of both former gang leaders is starting to draw attention and draw crowds.
Later, Wazy and the former Testaments come face to face with Wald and the former Saber Vipers. They get on amicably. Noel is dismissing the CGF members when she notices civilians talking about the gang leaders. Fran rushes up to her and tells her about a fight in the harbor district.
The fight started over an offhand comment about whether Wazy or Wald was stronger, and it devolved into an altercation. A massive crowd has gathered and Wazy and Wald rush at each other. Noel interrupts taking out Wazy and Wald in a single strike. To her surprise, the crowd cheers her on as the strongest. Noel was fed up that they were disturbing the peace. Fran and Scarlet watch on, and Scarlet is displeased she has another mess to sort out.
Scarlet drags Wazy and Wald to the cardinal who severely berates them. Noel gains a new respect for the former gang members.
