The Saber Vipers (サーベルバイパー ) were a group of delinquents led by Wald Wales in the Downtown District of Crossbell City.
Background
The Saber Vipers were a group formed by Wald Wales that operated in the Downtown District of Crossbell City. The gang had a fierce rivalry with the other gang in the district, the Testaments, led by Wald's rival Wazy Hemisphere. The two groups often confronted each other in the streets, disturbing the neighbourhood with their quarrels. Their adopted symbol is that of a red viper curled in the shape of an 'S' clutching a sabre against a black backdrop.
The group adopted a rough, metal theme, with members of the group typically dressed in a black and red leather jackets embellished with white and red stripes meeting to form a 'V' on their backs. Gang Members often sported long, swept-back hairstyles and white headbands. Weaponry used by the Saber Vipers included wooden swords, bats with nails driven through them and clubs.
The group used the Ignis clubhouse as their base of operations, located in the Downtown District of Crossbell City. However, with the demolishing of that area of the city and subsequent redevelopment into a new residential area, the site no longer exists. Entry to the club was behind two huge metal doors emblazoned with the gang's crest. Within the clubhouse there were two floors, stacked with large crates. Large speakers blasted loud music out continuously.

The Special Support Section first encounter the Saber Vipers early on in their operation, investigating the assault and hospitalisation of one of the Testaments' members. The Testaments are certain that a member of the Saber Vipers is behind the assault, a claim they vehemently deny. After witnessing a confrontation between the Sabre Vipers and their long term rivals in the streets, Lloyd and company are eager to de-escalate the situation. They soon visit the Ignis clubhouse and are formally introduced to the group, and later on they successfully resolve the attack and settle the confrontations. The gang would later assist in fending off the Gnosis-influenced Crossbell Guardian Force, allowing the SSS to escape.
The Saber Vipers and Testaments would continue to maintain animosity with each other. After a humiliating quick defeat at the hands of Wazy, who was fed up of holding back and 'playing,' Wald sinks into a depressed state and spends most of his time drinking. The rest of the gang are deeply concerned for their leaders' welfare, and Dino reaches out for help in getting through to Wald. After Wald is recruited by Mariabell Crois, he lays waste to much of Downtown, destroying much of the Saber Vipers' territory and injuring many of their members, Dino included.

By the end of the Great War, the Saber Vipers have matured and the group has disbanded. Several of the members take employment up elsewhere in the city. During one visit to the city on business, Wazy and Wald, now a member of the Gralsritter, reunite with their former groups. Wald reconciles with with his former gang as they discuss the events that transpired before.
It is not long until former rivalries flare up and the gangs are once again at each other's throats. the various former members of each gang cheer on their former leaders as they begin a street brawl but they are ultimately broken up by an intervening Noel Seeker, who after the incident decided to have more respect for the former gang members.
