Celis Ortesia (セリス・オルテシア) also known as the Searing Flare is a knight of the Gralsritter of the Septian Church and occupies the seat of Fourth Dominion.

The fourth of the twelve Dominions belonging to the Gralsritter, an order of holy knights within the Septian Church. Despite her small stature and youthful appearance, Celis is both foul-mouthed and temperamental; not only will she send foes flying for getting on her bad side, but she'll even pick fights with those she deems worthy opponents. Regarding combat, Celis specializes in a fighting style that requires her to wield a giant templar sword—one that's roughly as tall as she is. She was initially quite skeptical of Van upon learning that Bergard had taken him on as a student. However, over the course of the incidents surrounding Almata and the Oct-Geneses, she has grown to be marginally more trusting of him.

The fourth of the Gralsritter's twelve Dominions, also known as the 'Searing Flare.' While her diminutive stature may come off cutesy, her foul mouth and combative personality will see that assumption swiftly corrected. Despite being fellow disciples under Bergard, Celis originally felt rather conflicted about Van. However, after working on a few cases together, she's come to be slightly more accepting of the spriggan's ways. Though a Dominion of the Gralsritter like Kevin, their diverging stances leave them acting at odds with one another—and Celis has never been one to back down from her adversaries.

Appearance

Celis is a short woman with long bright red hair and turquoise eyes. She wears a variation of the uniform of the Gralsritter, predominantly crimson and black in colour, with white accents. This variation features a long black skirt with a fleur-de-lis motif, black tights and red laced boots, a black corset and white collared shirt. She wears her sword arm, the right with the long sleeve rolled up.

Celis uses a very broad templar sword in combat.

Personality

In contrast to her traveling companion Leon Balthazar, Celis is quick to anger and irritable. Due to her small stature, Celis is self-conscious about her age and how she appears, and will quickly start a fight with anyone who aggravates her.
