(Apocrypha에서 넘어옴)

Apocrypha (外典(がいてん)) are considered as unofficial Testaments in the Septian Church.

Background

Even within the Septian Church, access to the Apocrypha is limited; only members of the Gralsritter are allowed to browse them.

Book of Ladder

One of these is the Book of Ladder (ラダー記), which describes the Pleroma Grass as a mysterious flower that can be interpreted as a good omen or a bad omen.

After a certain revelation regarding F. Novartis, Bergard Zeman recalls the text mentioning a "rung" (階梯).

Book of Ezer

A second text is named as one of the apocrypha in 영웅전설 여의 궤적 - The Book of Ezer (エゼル記). Its contents are first mentioned in 영웅전설 하늘의 궤적 the 3rd with a passage called 'Disaster Unleashed'

“That brief moment of hesitation was all it took to spawn a great evil. It crawled through the fields, ran through the hills, and spread disaster in the skies above.”
— Book of Ezer, Verse 2

The book of Ezer is also the one that describes the Seventy-Seven Devils and the 5 demon lords, including Vagrants Diaspora who has power over time. Pandemonium is also described in the text.

The Book of Ezer is described as a text that drains the very soul of those who read it without due protection. Leon Balthazar implies the D∴G cult forced its child experiments to read from it, including Van Arkride, something that is later confirmed by Van himself.

In 영웅전설 여의 궤적 II, it was mentioned that at some point in the past, the Book of Ezer was stolen from the Septian Church by the D∴G Cult, explaining how they got their hands on it. It was recovered by Bergard Zeman during the purging operation that wiped out most of the cult.

Hidden Book of Aricht

Makes mention of a 'final' saint who would appear shortly before the end times.

Trivia

  • Ries Argent mentions a Book of Genesis which contains a record about Primal Grounds. Due to the knowledge of these being secret to the public, it is possible that this is another apocryphal text.
