Kuwano is an inhabitant of the town of Bose.
He lives in the southern section of the city together with his wife Cecile, although their marriage is not a particularly happy one right about now. Most of the time they're either fighting and hurling insults at each other or they're ignoring each other.
Kuwano has been a fishing affectionado for over 20 years and his hobby is a major part of his life and became even more so after his retirement. What rubs his wife the wrong way is his habit of sneaking out and going on fishing trips to Valleria Lakeshore without telling her that he's going there or telling her when he'll be back. His wife considers this habit an unacceptable character flaw, but Kuwano feels that she's just limiting his freedom.
He's away from town when the sky bandits pull a large-scale raid on the neighborhood, though he's amused when he hears that his wife's shouting was what drove them off. Before a shouting match can start for real though, he makes an off-hand remark about some suspicious activity near the inn where he usually goes to fish that ultimately turns out to be the lead that allows the bracers to track down the sky bandits and infiltrate their hideout.
