Ries Argent's story.
Background
In S.1198, Ries lost her older sister Rufina Argent when a jaeger corps attacked the Aster House orphanage ran by the Septian Church in Arteria that both sisters helped out in. The two of them first met with Kevin on a street corner. Because of Rufina's persistent action in reaching out to Kevin, he decided to live together with them.
Both Rufina and Kevin decided to become knights of the Septian Church, leaving Ries as the last one at the orphanage of the trio. One day, the house was attacked by Jaegers and Ries was held hostage after being knocked unconscious. She woke up to the cleaning and repairs of the house as well as the news of her sister, Rufina, was dead. Kevin left Ries behind without telling her the truth of what had happened that day. Ries, determined to find Kevin and the truth, trained to become a squire of the church. Five years had passed after Rufina's death and Kevin's disappearance from her life. Ries was then to be appointed as Kevin's assistant squire, appointed to him by Ein Selnate.
During her time in Arteria, she met Elie MacDowell.

Ries makes her debut travelling to Grancel in order to assist Kevin with the retrieval of a an artefact- the Recluse Cube and its subsequent storage in the Primal Ground beneath the city's cathedral. Unknowingly, the Cube is active and it draws Ries into Phantasma. The pair gradually accumulate knowledge and companions as they try to work out how to escape back to reality. Ries helps motivate Kevin out of his self-depreciative state, taking over for him in the investigation of one of Phantasma's planes. She follows Kevin into this dimension's version of Gehenna and is present for the final battle against Anima Mundi.

Ries travels to Crossbell following her conversation with Kevin in Altair after he saves Lloyd, Noel, Arios and Dudley from a demonized Ernest. Kevin warns her of the dangers in Crossbell and to resort to their trump card if anything happens.
In Crossbell, she reunites with Elie and meets Lloyd, Wazy, Noel, and KeA. After introductions are made, Ries privately asks Elie to keep her identity as a Gralsritter squire hidden from the rest of the group.

Following the defeat of Ishmelga and the undoing of the Great Twilight, Ries attends the wedding of Scherazard Harvey and Prince Olivert Reise Arnor alongside Kevin.

Ries is on board Merkabah number 5, supporting Kevin in the attack on the Retributive Tower.

While training with Kevin at Marduk's headquarters, Rean notes Ries's unexplained absence.
