Rex is an inhabitant of the seaside village of Manoria.
Unlike many of the villagers, Rex's not a native. He and his wife Carla moved to Manoria years ago and set up the village's famed White Magnolia Inn together, with Rex being the one who's responsible for the meals the guests get to eat. Among the meals he sells are vegetable sandwiches and seafood paella that he sells as boxed lunches for travellers stopping by in Manoria, Estelle and Joshua among them.
When the nearby Mercia Orphanage burns down, Rex and his wife allow the matron and children to stay at the inn free of charge until the place can be rebuilt. It seemed the least they could do, since he was already on good terms with the matron, who's responsible for the herbal tea served at the inn.
While he and his wife are usually busy running the inn, they do manage to make time to visit Jenis Royal Academy during the school festival together with their daughter.

Rex is the husband of Carla and the father of Lucia.
