Synopsis
The Daydream starts one week after Crossbell is liberated from the Special Guard. Rean Schwarzer, Towa Herschel and Michael Irving greet Randy Orlando upon his return to the Thors Branch Campus. Michael and Randy will be teaching for one term before leaving their positions. Towa has not decided which path to take. The students of the branch campus wave down to Randy from the roof.
At the end of term, Angelica Rogner organizes a reunion for the upper classmen of Thors Military Academy in Heimdallr. Several Alumni come to Leeves for the day before the reunion, including Edel, Vincent Florald, Emily, Theresia, and Dorothee. Crow Armbrust, George Nome and Angie herself arrive via orbal bike to Leeves.
Towa wanders around the campus to see what everyone is up to. Emily and Theresia are playing tennis with Juna Crawford and Jessica Schleiden, beating them thanks to their lacrosse experience, Edel is cooking for some of the girls in the cafeteria, including the cooking club, Altina Orion and Leonora, Dorothee and Tatiana are reading their 'literature' to Kurt Vander and Ash Carbide, Angelica and Vincent are attending the Tea Ceremony Club, with George observing, and Crow and Rean are playing orbal guitars with Stark and the Modern Music Club listening.
On the way to the reunion, the old members of Class VI recall their days in school and how they were picked for the ARCUS testing by Sara Valestein. Towa wonders why she was picked thinking of her talents compared with the others, but they console her and state she is a key to their team. They talk about their plans going forward. Angelica wants to do more for the people of Roer, George is taking a post at the Roer College and Crow is heading to Jurai with Stark due to the unrest there. They joke about Crow being a dropout and how he should come back as a student under Rean. They discuss how Towa has been mulling over her decision to either stay on as an instructor or accept an invitation to join an international NGO which helps people all over Zemuria. After talking, it appears Towa has made up her own mind to take a third way.
After taking a train back to Leeves, Towa meets Rean who is out on a midnight stroll. Towa elects to stay on at Thors, but also take on some of the responsibilities of the NGO, marked by Michael as the third more difficult path, and the one of Thors. One of the first things Towa will be doing is heading to Crossbell for the signing ceremony. Towa will also become the new chief instructor, with Isara Irving taking her place as the military finance instructor. Isara arrives at the school at the end of the Daydream.
