Operation Shining Steel (翼の閃き) is a joint operation initiated by Olivert Reise Arnor along with Class VII, the Bracer Guild, the Special Support Section and many of their allies and supporters to put an end to the conflict on the surface of Zemuria and win the seven Rivalries, putting an end to Ishmelga's schemes, end the Great War, Great Twilight and the influence of the Erebonian Curse.

Operation Shining Steel is a multi-faceted operation planned to act as a third force besides the forces of Operation Jormungandr, which sought to drown the world in conflict and Operation Mille Mirage which stood against it. Although not actively opposing Mille Mirage, Operation Shining Steel sought a war to end the conflict as soon as possible by means of completing the seven Rivalries.
This would be primarily accomplished by allowing the Courageous II to breach the defenses of the Tuatha De Danann thereby allowing Rean and his allies from Class VII to infiltrate and complete the last three Rivalries. In order for this to happen, the five 'fake salt pales' generating a barrier around the Tuatha De Danann needed to be incapacitated. Five allied parties were dispatched to see this part of the plan through. Meanwhile on the surface, their remaining allies employed a strategy of diversion and occupation, keeping the majority of resistance out of the way of the main plan's objective.
Details of the plan were finalised on the eve of the Great War and was due to take place the moment Operation's Mille Mirage and Jormungandr began. A large number of participants used the final night to relax in the Mishelam resort. On the day of the plan, there was time for each of the particpants to go about their last business and preparations.
Celestin] describes the plan as one requiring separation and neutralisation, with many allied forces deployed to keep the path clear to the Salt Pales and Empyreal Fortress. There were three phases to the plan, including clearing the way to the Salt pales, the neutralisation of the barrier and Phase Three which was the Courageous' direct assault upon the Fortress. Ouroboros and a host of Zauber Soldats remained in places as a defence.
The total number of supporters and participants was estimated to be around 1000.
Outcome
Rean Schwarzer successfull overcomes the final rivarly and the Ashen Knight, Valimar absorbs the Ebon Knight, Ishmlega. With help from the Holy Beast of Earth's Earthern Prison, Rean is able to expel Ishmelga from his being and contain it in material form, allowing it to be vanquished once and for all. With help from large numbers of their alies, they successfully do this and the war comes to an end.
