Osgiliath Basin (オズギリアス盆地), also known as the Forbidden Land (禁忌の地), is a depression in the central north of Erebonia.
Background
At the time of the Great Collapse, Osgiliath Basin was the site of the final battle between Erebonia's two Sept-Terrions, Ark Rouge and Lost Zem. The clash, resulting in the formation of the Great One, created the massive crater that forms the basin, and the empty shells of the Sept-Terrions were sent flying a great distance in opposite directions, landing in Bryonia Island and the Nord Highlands.
Osgiliath Basin is seen as a cursed land due to its inhospitability, but also as a source of rare ruins and artifacts. The lamp-shaped artifact Eternal Kandelaar, capable of introducing higher elementals to a specific area, was found during an excavation in Osgiliath Basin. It was immediately brought to the Imperial Museum in the Leica District, Heimdallr.

Background
Led by Tilia, new Class VII travels to Osgiliath Basin as the Lamare singularity is located in the center of it, evidenced by the black Pleroma Grass growing there. While there, they're received by Musse Egret and Aurelia Le Guin to inform them of her motives for joining Class VII and creating the Weissland Army.
After her classmates convince her to come back and help them however, they are surrounded by the Thors Military Academy main campus and the Red Constellation, with Michael Irving now an instructor for the main campus, Shirley Orlando a student and led by Prince Cedric Reise Arnor.
With Aurelia pinned by Gareth, Class VII nonetheless forces Cedric to summon Testa-Rossa, but their Panzer Soldats are able to fend off the Divine Knight until the Weissland Army reinforcements arrive. After the fight, Class VII stakes the singularity and Musse decides to return with them to Eryn, leaving Aurelia in charge of the Weissland Army in her place.
Two days before the start of Operation Jormungandr, Tuatha De Danann emerges from the pocket of space above Osgiliath Basin it had been trapped in since the Great Collapse, and is transported to Heimdallr by Black Alberich, Giliath Osborne and the Ironbloods to serve as the stage for the final Rivalries. To ensure the Radiant Wings wouldn't interfere before the Great War was underway, five Pales similar to the one that destroyed North Ambria appeared all over Erebonia, envolving the Empyreal Fortress in an impenetrable barrier.
