Captain Grandt is a man met in the Capua Hideout.
He's the captain of the airship Linde.

He gets taken hostage along with his crew and passengers when the airliner is boarded and hijacked by the Capua Sky Bandits. He and the rest are then blindfolded and taken to the Capuas' hideout in Nebel Valley on board the sky bandits' ship where they're imprisoned in one of the rooms on the lower level of the hideout.
Their ordeal comes to an end when Estelle, Joshua, Scherazard and Olivier stow away on the sky bandits' ship, infiltrate the hideout and subdue the group of bandits guarding their cell. When the army arrives, Grandt, his staff and his passengers are transported back to town.
When Estelle and her companions first burst into the room, they're surprised Cassius isn't there since he disappeared along with the ship. When Grandt inquires about it with his staff, it turns out that Cassius left the ship just before it took off.

Grandt and Estelle briefly meet again during the latter's flight from Grancel to Ruan after her return from Le Locle. The captain recognizes Estelle and formally thanks her on behalf of the crew. He also inquires about Cassius and whether Estelle managed to find him to which Estelle replies that he did show up eventually, even if he waited for the last possible moment to make his appearance. Grandt points out that Cassius actually jumped off the ship while it was already on the move.
