아스모다인

The Asmodyne (アスモダイン ) is a large heavily armed and armored humanoid Zauber Soldat weapon developed first by the Black Workshop and later reproduced and enhanced by Elysium.

Background

The Asmodyne was not intended to be part of the final line up of Zauber Soldats, which combined technology from Panzer Soldats and Magic Knights. Although based on the Goliath unit, it was abandoned during its development in favour of the more powerful and manoeuvrable Leviathan unit. The Asmodyne bears a strong resemblance to the Goliath, but uses a floating anti-gravity platform instead of being mounted on the ground. It also features a long array of shoulder mounted lasers. The remnants of Rufus's forces in the Imperial Defense Force use an Asmodyne unit in their last stand at Orchis Tower's rooftop. However, the Special Support Section are able to overcome it.

In secret, the AI Elysium had been observing and through its incredible calculative ability and ability to acquire technological resources, had been enhancing and mass-producing Asmodyne models for its own army. These units are all fully autonomous and ran based on Elysium's calculations, which had one downside in that without accurate data, they could not function. They were developed in large numbers at the battle of the Retributive Tower and Crossbell.
