The Holy Beast's Trial (大地の聖獣の試練) is a hidden quest that occurs during 종막 "떨어지는 꽃, 불꽃의 끝에" of 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 IV.
Background
The quest is available on 9/1 if all five Cryptids have been defeated and the following quests have been completed:
- The Alster Harvest Festival
- Saving Officer Alan
- Einhel Keep Monster
- Missing Person Report
- Showdown of the Decade
- Ghosts of Hamel
Alternatively, after seeing the normal ending, a portal will appear in Tuatha De Danann that leads directly to the Sanctus Shrine. Completing the quest and obtaining the Earthen Prison is necessary to achieve the true ending.
Walkthrough
- After meeting the conditions, return to the Courageous II for a scene.
- Travel to Auros Coastal Road Map 2 and approach the Sanctus Shrine for a scene.
- Speak with Toval to enter the Sanctus Shrine.
- PARTY: Toval joins.
- Head to the altar for a battle.

- It's time to get ourselves together and head to the shrine. Toval, Beryl, and KeA have identified some kind of spiritual presence connected to Aidios. So far, all we have are three hints about its whereabouts--'a sacred shrine,' 'the southwest of Lamare,' and a 'seaside grotto.'
- Encountered Argres, the Holy Beast of Earth, in the Sanctus Shrine. After completing his trial, he left us with the last of his power, which he called the 'Earthen Prison.' Exactly what this power is and how we're supposed to use it remains a mystery.
