카이리

카이리 (Kairi, カイリ) is a student in Class IX of the Thors Branch Campus in 영웅전설 섬의 궤적 III.

Profile

Appearance

카이리 is a short young man with light brown hair and amber eyes. He is known for his androgynous appearance. 카이리 wears the standard male uniform of the Branch Campus, consisting of a blue blazer, waistcoat, white shirt and black trousers. 카이리 also wears brown slip-on shoes and a yellow chiffon.

Personality

Every day, 카이리 pursues his ideal to become an splendid, proud, Erebonian man in a bid to impress his noble father. He is self conscious about his looks, taking after his mother and looking more like a girl. His female peers regard him as 'cute' and 카이리 endeavours to prove himself as a masculine figure, and is diligently hard-working.

Background

카이리 is born in S.1190 as the son of baron living in the Lamare Province. When he was little, he was frequently sick. He chose to pursue a path in medicine to figure out why.

영웅전설 섬의 궤적 III

At the age of 16, he enrolls at the Thors Branch Campus and joins Class XI: Military Finance under instructor 토와 허셜. 카이리 is quite keen to prove himself as a capable 'man of Erebonia' and deliberately seeks out what, in his eyes, are the most 'manly' activities. 카이리 joins the Eastern Tea Ceremony Club along with 뮤제 이그리트 and Maya. 카이리 is put in charge of the medical squad on the Derfflinger and receives some tutelage from Linde.

카이리 considers transferring to another club after believing learning how to pour tea isn't manly enough. Rean offers to help him learn the way of the tea ceremony and in doing so, learns more about 카이리's background. Rean states he thinks 카이리 has grown as a man and leads the medical squad well, that he is good at perceiving and thinks that he is plenty manly already. This gives 카이리 a confidence boost.

카이리 joins in the operation to find Calvardian agents in the capital, and also helps in the battle at the Gral of Erebos.

영웅전설 섬의 궤적 IV

After the Great Twilight, 카이리 is found in the Saint-Arkh Bracer Guild branch. Class VII initially presume it is a strong enemy, but they end up surprising themselves and 카이리 when they barge in. He explains that he was teleported near the old capital by 토마스 라이샌더 after the Gral of Erebos collapses. 카이리 is using the Bracer Guild branch as a temporary base. He is amongst the students who help send the Soldats to Class VII in Hamel.

카이리 is later assisting the Main Campus students search for medical ingredients, and is working with Fritz. When they are attacked by monsters, Fritz orders him to get back, but 카이리 doesn't back down and helps save Fritz. Fritz apologises for misjudging 카이리 and underestimating him. Fritz later joins 카이리, Maya and Sandy for dinner in Mishelam.

카이리 remains a member of the Branch Campus and a member of the Eastern Tea Ceremony Club. At the Branch Campus Academy Festival, the Tea Ceremony Club, who are holding tea sessions and having photographs taken with guests, gets far more female visitors than men, resulting in 카이리 being chosen for photographs much more often. He has mixed feelings about it, but sees it as another barrier to get over as a man of the Empire. He later states he feels more like a mascot than a member of a club, but that also as a man of the Empire, he shouldn't waste time on such pointless complaints. Musse plots to have him dress in a woman's kimono.
