Watch Officer Talbot is a soldier serving in the Royal Army.
He's stationed at Sanktheim Gate checkpoint separating the cities Zeiss and Grancel and can usually be found patrolling the main hall.
Since the checkpoint is part of some very old ruins, they regularly get scholars who come to investigate the building and the Ahnenburg Wall it's part of and Talbot is used to visitors asking questions about the place.
After the Zeiss Central Factory gets attacked, Sanktheim Gate is one of the places that starts performing inspections for a while until the higher-ups give the order to cancel them. Plenty of soldiers in the army openly grumble about this unexpected development, but Talbot isn't one of them.
Talbot is a very diligent and no-nonsense soldier who's extremely focussed on the checkpoint's security and even proposes practice drills to the watch officer in order to better prepare the garrison for the busy times of the birthday celebration, goes out of his way to make his subordinates execute high command's orders as efficiently as possible and believes orders exist to be followed, not questioned. He seldom shows reservations about the commands coming from upstairs, even though premature cancellation of the inspections and shunning of the Bracer Guild's assistence actually make it harder to catch the supposed terrorists. Nevertheless, even he voices worry when the Queen remains silent on the increasingly tense situation, despite her officially being the one the army answers to above all others.
Tammy, the waitress of the mess hall, thinks he's cute, though she's still more attracted to Private Jules and Private Hector.

Watch Officer Talbot is a superior of Private Wayne, Private Hector, Private Chesley, Private Jules, Private Wolpe and Private Olnis.
In addition, he's a subordinate of Chief Watch Officer Dale.
