Harg is an inhabitant of the town of Ruan.
He's a dock worker who's usually found loading and unloading cargo at the harbor. Around the time that Estelle and Joshua arrive in Ruan, it's Harg's turn to be responsible for holding onto the warehouse key, but due to a stroke of bad luck (and a stroke of alcohol from the Aqua Rossa) he drops it into the water of the canal without even being aware of it. Unable to find it himself and desperate to get it back, he puts in a request with the local Bracer Guild to have it found. Accepting the job, Estelle and Joshua search the southern district and find something lying in the water. Putting her fishing skills to good use, Estelle uses a rod borrowed from the Aqua Rossa Bar to retrieve the key from the bottom of the canal. Needless to say, Harg is very grateful.
He gets an opportunity to return the favor later on when the bracers are looking for the mayor's stolen candelabrum and follow the hint from a note they found to the docks where a barrel is supposed to contain what they're looking for. Not finding any barrels near the place the note spoke of, they reason that it must have been moved inside the warehouse and ask Harg for help. Harg mentions that only staff is allowed inside the warehouse, but cleverly circumvents the regulations by moving the barrel they need outside instead of letting them inside. To Harg's surprise, the harbormaster comes walking out claiming he was inspecting the place and having used a spare key to get inside. After he walks off and a second harbormaster enters the scene, the bracers realize that the thief used a disguise to mislead them. While the candelabrum is retrieved from the barrel, Harg gets chewed out by the real harbormaster for bending the rules.
