Benoit is an inhabitant of the town of Ruan.
He's a dock worker who's usually found loading and unloading cargo at the harbor. He feels that working at the harbor is tougher than it ought to be with the Ravens hanging about in the warehouse district and the town slowly turning its commerce to the tourism business.
Like many in his line of work, he feels that Mayor Morris Dalmore neglected the needs of the sailors and dock workers and hopes that the harbormaster will become the next mayor and right this wrong.

Benoit is a subordinate of Portos and a colleague of Kuper and Harg.
