Talia is a woman working at Sanktheim Gate checkpoint as the manager of the building's sleeping quarters.
As the checkpoint's innkeeper, she's in the perfect position to pick up on a lot of the soldiers' gossip, so she quickly hears about the attack on the Zeiss Central Factory after it happens, though she doesn't get a great deal of opportunity to think about it due to the inn suddenly getting busy due to people getting held up because of the security inspections. Like many of the soldiers, she too is puzzled when she hears about the security inspections suddenly being lifted, but since she's not part of the army, she simply assumes there was a good reason for it.
Talia's daughter Tammy works as a waitress in the mess hall next door and every day after lunch, her daughter drops by to gossip about men and about her latest crush. She's somewhat annoyed by Tammy's habit, not just because she's essentially skipping work, but also because her daughter keeps talking the talk, yet never actually hooks up with someone and Talia wishes Tammy would just stop the gossip and just get a boyfriend already. Talia's personal choice wouldn't be any of the soldiers her daughter keeps talking about, but Sanders, the chef in charge of the mess hall. While she admits Sanders isn't overly attractive, he comes across as reliable and a good listener to her, which she feels is the most valuable trait one could find in a men. Her daughter doesn't seem too interested though.
During warm days Talia sometimes plays with the thought of hanging her washed sheets on top of the wall since they'd dry really quickly there, though she knows that Chief Watch Officer Dale would get on her case if she ever followed up on that.
