Cornelius is an inhabitant of the city of Bose.
He's the former owner of Lucir Orbal Factory. During Chapter 1, he's mainly found hanging out at the Kirsche Bar drowning his sorrows.
Cornelius built his shop from the ground up and the business was very dear to him, but he had the misfortune of getting involved with an untrustworthy business partner who took over his shop after the Cornelius was unable to pay back the loan his partner arranged for him in time.
Fate still seems to favor him though, as it turns out that his former business partner pulled more than one con and after the army raid on the Sky Bandits' hideout, said business partner is detained by the army at the Haken Gate for questioning. Due to Estelle and Joshua having found incriminating evidence inside a vacuum cleaner that was stolen from the orbal factory, the charges stick and Cornelius is able to get his shop back. At the start of Chapter 2, he's once again in charge of the orbal factory and admits to Estelle and Joshua that he may have been too trusting in the past. He seems to be fairly forgiving too, since he's even feeling worried about Nigel during the sky bandits' raid on the southern district, despite his co-worker having driven him from his shop.
Relations
Cornelius used to be a business partner of Nigel before being conned out of his shop by the latter.
He used to be the employer of Carrie, though that role transfers to Nigel along with the rest of the shop. After Nigel gets arrested, Cornelius gets back his shop and becomes her boss once more.
