Amelia is a woman met at the Haken Gate.
She's a waitress employed at the pub/rest stop where people leaving or entering the country wait for their clearance. When the airspace above Bose is closed, the garrison at the gate is placed on high alert and Eisen Road is blocked off, things suddenly get a lot busier at the rest stop, since travellers wanting to travel to Bose on foot get stranded at the gate. The sudden increased activity at the gate going on day and night has resulted in her having trouble sleeping.
One of the people who ends up stuck at the pub is Olivier Lenheim, who is having some food while waiting for Eisen Road to reopen. Her attention was drawn by Olivier's good looks and sharp dressing sense, but after talking to him she was turned off a bit by his eccentric behavior. She also seems to have a thing for Colonel Richard, who she considers handsome and doesn't share Olivier's eccentricies.
