Synopsis
Cedric Reise Arnor complains about the state of his quarters onboard the Glorious and attempts to summon a maid, before remembering he does not have access to his life of luxury anymore. He wanders to the main deck and contemplates his choices so far and how he left everything behind. Mariabell Crois, F. Novartis and Campanella watch from above and although they recognise that Cedric has the prerequisite darkness, he is not yet strong enough to be an enforcer. Novartis has a new idea however involving an Archaism he has been working on.
Cedric is an enforcer candidate under the charge of Shirley Orlando. He has lost significant amounts of power following the loss of the Tuatha De Danann and regularly loses in drills set up by Shirley and the Red Constellation. Shirley states that she doesn't care what becomes of him. Gilbert Stein muses that Cedric could always join his corps should he fail, which fills Cedric with dismay.
In the latest trial, Cedric is tasked with evading an entire squad of Red Constellation and enhanced jaegers, reaching and defeating Gareth and Gilbert. Cedric decries this as impossible but is urged to move as snipers begin firing at him. Cedric barely makes his way around, complaining about the odds against him as he learns how to link with his archaism, a new model which can perform combat links. Cedric eventually steels his resolve, thinking back to everyone he left behind. He uses what he learnt at Thors to evade the remaining forces and eventually reach Gilbert and Gareth.
Cedric defeats Gilbert and passes, but Gilbert refuses to back down and summons his G-Apache. Gareth moves to snipe Gilbert but Shirley stops him saying how it is another trial Cedric must overcome. Cedric defeats Gilbert again and passes.
Later, Cedric attends Olivert Reise Arnor's wedding in secret, before teleporting away using a new orbment imprinted with XIX, his Enforcer number.
