Mickey is a student of Jenis Royal Academy.
His defining characteristic is his extreme laziness and because of that he may be the only student in school who's neither looking forward to the festival nor working hard to make sure it becomes a success. He spends most of the time grumbling about the work he's tasked to do, complaining that the work should be left to those who actually want to help out. He makes several attempts to avoid having to do more work, though several of those are foiled.
On the evening before the festival, while having to help out with the sets for the play, he decides to ditch work, asks Mister Effort for the key to the abandoned school building behind the regular one and plans to hide there and take a nap. He gets the scare of a lifetime, though, when he enters the building and finds monsters inside. Running away in a panic, he intends to return the key to Mister Effort and have him lock the place up, but runs into Estelle, Kloe and Jill on the way back. His explanation of why he was in the building earn him a snarky remark from Jill and an angry scolding from Estelle before Kloe restores the peace by suggesting they focus on exterminating the monsters. After the monsters are dealt with, Jill mentions that Mickey's laziness, despite his intentions, served a good cause this time, though Mister Effort still vows to work him extra hard during the next P.E. lesson just to teach him a lesson.
During the festival itself, Mickey hides in the boys' locker room in another attempt at avoiding work although this one doesn't work out either as Jill finds him and promptly sends him to the auditorium to perform some last-minute chores backstage. Mickey's extremely annoyed at her, but does what he's told anyway. After the play, Mickey's dragged back to the auditorium to spend time with the rest of the students who are holding the launch party, though Mickey himself isn't enjoying himself, hoping he'll just be able to go home soon.
