Ralph, a NPC met in Grancel

Ralph is an inhabitant of the town of Grancel.

He's young man who lives in the house next to the weapon shop in the southern section of the royal city, together with his wife Patty.

Ralph has been married to his wife for about five years, but things haven't been going very well for him lately, especially with the martial arts competition being in progress as Patty's completely obsessed with the event, neglecting both him and all the domestic chores, leaving him to tend to the house instead. While Ralph is troubled by his wife's behavior and is even going on about changing her ways with hypnotic suggestions and such, he seems unable to just confront her and voice his grievances.

During the semi-finals, Patty gets stuck with a bad seat, so she plans on camping outside the arena ticket desk that evening in order to make sure she gets better seats during the finals. Worried about his wife and not wanting her to spend the night on the streets, Ralph volunteers to camp out in her place.

Things don't go as planned, however, because there are soldiers patrolling the streets that night who lead Ralph back home. Unwilling to give up, however, Ralph sneaks out of the house again and hides out at the airport (on the deck of the Arseille) until the night patrols are finished. While hiding there, he's discovered by Estelle and Joshua who are on their way to the cathedral. Imploring them to stay quiet and not give away his presence to the guards, Ralph gives them his copy of Carnelia's 10th chapter as a gift. After the night patrols end, he makes his way to the ticket booth and sticks around until morning, allowing him to get front and center seats for himself and his wife. Ralph and Patty are seen in the audience during the final match between Estelle's team and Lorence's team.

Things start looking up for Ralph after the competition, as Patty has thought about the lengths he was willing to go for her and has taken it upon herself to take a more active role in the household from now on. This leads Ralph to the conclusion that it's better to subtly nudge one's spouse into the right direction than to confront them directly with grievances.

Like many inhabitants of Grancel, Ralph is uneasy with the special ops patrolling the city streets after the Erbe Royal Villa is taken by the Royal Guard and bracers. He still completely trusts Colonel Richard though and is shocked when he hears that the colonel was the one who organized the coup.
