Nigel is an inhabitant of the town of Bose.
He's the person in charge of Lucir Orbal Factory in the southern section of the city. The one running the shop used to be Cornelius, who started the place with a loan arranged by Nigel. Apparantly, Nigel had some some fine print added that Cornelius failed to read and when the latter failed to pay back the sum in time, Nigel took over his whole business. This happened around the time Estelle, Joshua and Scherazard arrived in Bose.
Nigel keeps his shady business deals in a ledger hidden in an orbal vacuum cleaner that was stolen during the sky bandits' raid on the town. Nigel didn't think much of it at first and when he was later arrested for fraudulent business practices and locked up at Haken Gate, he kept his mouth shut, counting on being released eventually due to a lack of evidence. Unfortunately for him, Estelle and Joshua found the ledger while infiltrating the sky bandits' hideout and turned it over to the soldiers in charge of the investigation. As a result, Nigel got locked up in Leiston Fortress while Cornelius got his shop back.
